  1. Why ask for peoples opinions on the subject and then dissregard there replies ???? Your hunting over shite mate, imo by the looks of what youre into you would be better off with a first cross beddi whippet.
  2. Depends where you are hunting , as a reverse 3/4 cross woud not catch a cold around where i hunt, they woud not have no where near enough pace or agile enough to come to terms with the shy quarry that is thin on the ground and gets lamped regular. If you take a cross of this type up the hills where the ground is slow and the feilds are stone walled the yes they wil catch a few, but imo a half cross would always catch more. Speed merchants should only stay so for so long as they should soon clue up to the game and learn to slow there pace and thus get the gears to use to there advantage
  3. I agree with you whin, there is milage in what you are saying, a good mate of mine and a very good dog man, whos ran all types of crosses and bred all types tested to the full on quarry that is shy and been ran to the hilt by others, has joked a few times about writing a book but thats what it was a joke really as theres too many knockers about in life, everyone does things different and have different oppinions. I think is safe to say that a fair good dogman may write a book, but the very very few special dogmen you will very rarley hear of.
  4. before you read this im not knocking the gsd x and ive just brought one my self. But if i had a choose i would go with the malinoisthe difference between a malinois and gsd is that the keenel club have ruined the gsd breed over the last 30 years. Like the formation of there back which now puts more probs into the hips and there are a few more things but now the police and army over here are starting to use the malinois because they havnt been messed with. Also the usa army have used the malinois as attack dogs for years as apparantly they are more aggressive.. Not like the gsd that would just
  5. but that is very much the same as a saluki's needs isnt it?? Youre right mate, the sloughi is just a saluki with no feathering and a thinner coat, they are virtually the same apart from that, so i think they would have there uses as a cross to a greyhound for the purpose of coursing just like has been done to good effect with the saluki, maybe there aint many sloughi xs about because the saluki is more readily available i dint know, but i have heard of a couple somewhere.
  6. That looks like a very handy dog mate. you need to put up the age sex price or the thread will be deleted ,, good luck with the sale.

Shall i wait for my old bitch to die before i have her put too, or take the chance while i have it and mate her to a dog that has proved himself TO ME yes paul TO ME, as the breeding is for myself to continue a line ok, if peple dont want to buy a pup off me then that cool, i just dont want the dogs in my area as there is too many knob head dogging lads around here, otherwise i dont need to advertise ok, is that ok with you you sad messing, muppet.

  13. UNFIT you came on here posting pics and making big claims on what some pups have done, and have still not answered the question of when they have seen all this work ! at the end of the day you bigged it up but have now closed the door ? If there are eight people on this site who have seen theses dogs in action and can speak for them then why tell them not to say anything on here about the dogs performance ? something just doesnt add up to me, if you wanted to keep it hush hush you would have never mentioned the cross let alone posted the pics and made claims
  14. Sounds like a champ of a dog that whin, i like the collie cross mate, great allround dogs, i reckon if you get a first cross that throws the grey way then there the ones. I like the look of them malamute crosses fella they look strong and game and like you say they may be pacey enough for what there running and where there running them, like i say hybrid vigour at work maybe ! i aint a bull x fan i dont follow the spiralling fashions of running dogs. I think if unfit had posted the pics but left out the working claims of the young dogs then this thresd may have been a bit more pleasant
  15. Whats the crack mate, serious you come on the site posting pictures of unfamiliar but nice looking young dogs just out of puppyhood, claiming that they have seen more work than most 2 year old dogs have seen, even thou we are not far into the season which must mean you have worked them all through the summer months on young game. They dont have a mark on them and they dont look particulary fit to me either. Youre extrvergant claims on a open forum regarding pups of a unproven breeding, is obviously going to create a mixed reaction and many people will obviously be doubtfull of such claims
  16. They must have killed everything within a 500 mile radius
  17. Yes i think youre correct mate they were breed to work in extreeme cold temps they are warm blooded and cannot regulate there boddy temps in warm weather, warm to them is more like are winter i surpose, so you do have a very good point, another reason to put them back to a straight greyhound imo to finish the type. i like then they look very game to me, but just a atad too heavy, but i guess that depends what youre running them on and where to a certin extent. I carnt imagine that they have done a great deal at that age to be honest, mean heavy stuff as they wouldnt be physical capeable of com

  19. look usefull for the bigger stuff as i can tell they have fire in there bellies by looking at them, but imo they want putting back to a grey for a more versatile dog.
  20. ha ha, nah serious iam not a fan, had a first cross bullx grey bitch, she was nippy yeah but i wouldnt say fast, depends what you class as fast, there quick little dash dog some of them but not over any kind of distance just short bursts really. should be fast enough to catch rabbits if not to heavy and when fit depends how it genes throw i surpose.
  21. Drawing dogs, why do you want a fast drawing dog
  22. Cheers sounder, atb. IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN A PUP PLEASE PM IN FUTURE AS I WILL NOT REPLY ON THE OPEN FORUM AS THERE IS TO MANY TOOLS IDIOTS ABOUT TO WRECK PEOPLES THREADS,,,CHEERS
