Unfortunately I'm no expert on bloodlines lol and there are many different lines of malinois but i would buy something from proven lines either KNPV or Mondioring are good sports taht test the dogs exstensively .

Both mine are good with the family they are primarily work dogs ( I am self employed working these two week in week out) But they can come in the house and are fine with my other dogs and family members like I said its a lot to do with how you train them and what you want them to do the military dogs are far less sociable as that's what they require but I require a dog that I can work private sites or big events and a completely unsociable dog would be a nightmare on a big event. Thank you for your input Mike. You seem to know the breed well. What would be in your opinion, the best

That's the trouble ain't it I've had some good fun hunting people though

Thanks, I haven't been on here for ages K a mate of mine sent me the link to this topic so I thought I'd chip in what my experience is. In answer to your question yes I still have Cody he's over ten years old now I also still have the bitch I bred out of the pure kelpie I had. Good stuff ... I have a picture of that kelpie here somewhere ... How is the private dog work going mike ? Are you busy ..... I've been doing this three years now and I have been very busy I average twenty days working a month. It's hard work balancing everything sadly don't get much time for the rabbits these days bu

I have a dog and bitch that are both working protection dogs (private security) as for the none switch off that people mention perhaps you should look at a properly trained one first and you would see that they can indeed switch off. In my opinion they are leagues ahead of the gsd and have far less health issues but like everything you must buy from the right places.

It's interesting to see how real truth escapes some people when they post on the internet
