  1. i wonder if the grand was claimed for a pure black ferret i've never heard of mink x ferret and to be honest i understand each animal is different but i'm more then happy with my fezzers so why look any further, but thats just me.. some very stunning pics of the really dark ferrets i must say,, any more? all the very best lurcher lass xxx

  4. i think he believes the frosties are his scooby snacks as he seems pretty obsessed with them and the dog is known for making odd noises, stabba and cheeky chick are witness to this - if they recall in the garden

  11. i understand what your saying as i was young and female when i got into the sport, i was lucky and i worked with racing greyhounds in ireland where we ran hares to keep the racers keen,, i loved it, however i find in england you do need to sort of prove that you are genuine and are serious about working the dogs, HOWEVER i don't think this is due to age or sex - apart from a few small minded indeviduals,, i think this has more to do with any one who works their dog wont want just anyone looking at their kennels, watching their dogs work,, i know i wouldn't!! i think we respond to a novice no m

  13. Rabbits. My beddy/greyhound x whippet was mustad on all quarry big and small but sadly she was put to sleep last year after she banged her head causeing a massive brain hemarage whilst doing the work she loved so sorry to hear this,, i have a friend who's best dog was coursing and ran head first into a tree, broke its spin there on the field, dead within moments,, as awful as it sounds this is how i'd like my dog to go, this or lying on the sofa,, both doing what she loves and ideally no pain its very sad when we lose a working partner but its a part of nature, all good things come t
  14. theres some good hunting books available including about a saluki greyhound called scooby, written preban he took fallow, roe, chinese etc its a good read
  15. my working bitch to be a tad bigger, have an extra inch or two in height to help her see long distance and increase strid length my bitch youngster to be a bit less hyper and the dog young un to have even an ounce of brain!!! but i'm happy with what i've got

  19. thanks for the lovely replies!! and dell your bitch is looking good although its amazing there out of the same litter, would be interesting to see how the rest turned out some really nice looking dogs on here, keep them coming although there was one long ears that looked rather disgusting the deerhound/greyhound x whippet is everything i would want in the feild i may breed from her one day, but only to a almost perfect working dog, she broke her leg last oct so i lost a season with her but she's back to normal now and will be earning her keep again this season pups had a tast

  22. i got stuck once for pegs and ended up digging through the cupboard to come accross camping pegs, done the job grand the only prob was they got a tad heavt after a while, but i've only got little arms lol
  23. my kits are approx 7 weeks old, their on minced meat, odd day old chick for testing teeth they ase munching happily,i give them some ferret dry for extra nutrients, two kits are crunching away at the dry, no bother, the other is a bit slow but is getting the idea, just give them time as long as their getting a varied diet that is healthy, high in protein and their gaining weight you have nothing to worry about
