Hi, anyone in the paisley or johnstone area want to show me how to go about ferreting? Got a hob and a gil but wouldnt even consider working them till i have been out with someone experienced. will travel further if need be. thanks.

Hi all, first time on the forum, hope i`m putting this message in the right place. Its to do with feeding my ferrets. I have a hob an a gill both around 4 months old. I fed them dry ferret food which they have access to 24/7 and maybe every second or third day i give them chicken wings. Read somewhere you can feed a ferret anything which you can legaly shoot. Just wondering if pigeon was on the menu for them and whats the best way to feed it to them ie can i just shoot it and throw the whole bird in their hutch or am i better cutting it open or even into bits? Hope ou can offer some advice. th
