  1. WOW, what a fantastic response! Many thanks to all that took the time and trouble to reply. I'll take on board all your tips, advice and comments. Lets hope Hamish becomes a good 'un!
  2. Buster mate, he came to me as a border, however I think he looks more like a lakey. I could be wrong. In any case, I love the lil' chap and will work him no matter what! I'm a learner and really green to all this, so your input is welcome. Good for you mate , no offence ment he just dont look like a border to me His muzzle is too long, I think you might be right. At 17 weeks now, he's boxy and well formed. I guess having seen pics of Borders, my lil chap ain't one, but could be a x tho' I'll post a pic soon now he's coming on, to see what you think. Again ta V much for your in

  4. Hi, I'm new to hunting and I would like some hints/tips/advice about training my Border pup (16 weeks) to bush/flush. Any help you guys can offer will be more than greatfully received. This is Hamish at 7 weeks
  5. howdy & welcome you didn't say what age your pup is chap you might get better advice if you put it's age up Hamish is 18 weeks old but judging by the pics I've seen on here I'm not sure he's a true border, as his snout is longer, he's also black backed (like his Dam) with tan legs and a short white chest stripe. Not that I really care 'cos I love the 'lil chap to bits!

  7. Hi, My name is Mark and I have a Border Terrier Pup called Hamish. We live in North Somerset around 7 miles west of Bristol. Hamish is displaying all the traits of a true ratter with his toys, and I want to find somewhere to train/work him, not just as a ratter but maybe flushing too. He's a fiesty little chap with boundless energy and needs more than a 'pet' lifestyle. Can anyone help? My email is: mrmarkfish@aol.com
