if you do kill one leave it where it is for awhile as it will act like a decoy, another one should fly down to investigate it and then you can take that one too

they are little bstards to shoot, i used to shoot at them from my window alot but if the window was closed and then i opened it they would fly off. .22's arent too good for penetrating feathers try a pointed pellet or get yourself a .177 they have higher velocity so penetrate better. the .22 i have got now isnt powefull enough to kill them stone dead so if i ever get the chance il shoot them at the top of the wing so it cant fly off and then let my cairn terrier take care of it lol them and rats are the only thing i dont mind not killing with one shot because both of them are scumbags, magpie'

you got any pictures of this mate? and how come you put the tape on i don't understand why from your description?? cheers
