Yeah a lovely bit of grubb.thanks

Yeah she was doing well ferreting last season, marking and helping in the thick cover.Shes not shy of bursting through the thick cover when she has too.I cant complain as shes doing well for her age and the experiencess I have provided for her to learn from.Should only get better this season

Thanks, its mostly blackberry bushes or blackthorn Ive to get through to get at the burrows. Hard going throughout the hole season but I love it

Love the pics Willow, be very rare Id get to net nice clean burows like that. Most the time I put the ferret in the ditch or bushes and listen out for his bell and follow him with the locator untill he holds up.Then I have to break through aload of blackberry bushes or what ever is in the way to get my dig in.The dogs get some of the bolters. The ferret is like a terrier most the time

Hes at it since hes about 3 years old there or there abouts.Time is flying bye

Went out with the youngest son to catch a couple for the dinner. Bringing on a couple of pups this season. Starting grand, green as grass. Look forward to seeing how they come on over the few months. Done a bit of ferreting, a bit of bushing, a black bag of fat hen and redshank for the birds and home before the day turned into a summers day. Had a good and enjoyable couple of hours. young lad with his dinner Yes the burrows in there somewhere, listening for the ferrets bell to go quiet before I get the locator out. The pups Im bringing on as bushers and ferreting. The 2

Dont know about a pup but Ive a heart murmer myself. The doctor noticed it when I was in primary school and Ive made it to 42 so far. I havent been dugg to like a terrier but Ive dug hard to terriers and ferrets without keeling over. Dont know if its the same with dogs but according to the doctor he reconed at the time because my heart had to work a little harder as I was growing. He seemed to think I would end up with a stronger and slightly bigger heart. Im going back a little over 30years ago . Doctors oppinions could be different now.

Took me ages to find him on it. Liked and shared it hope he wins it.

Ivermectin is great. I had some last season for my canaries. Its strong stuff. Getting out early in the season your prone to those harvest mites.I put a couple of drops of ivermectin on the ferret and sorted the mites out.I know a few people got those orange shits on there ferrets just to lose them.

You hit the nail on the head with shampoo, you can use washing up liquid aswell. If you want you can add a couple of dropps of teatree oil. If you dont want to use strong chemicals to treat fleas especially on young pups and you ferrets. Human shampoo or washing up liquid will do as I said. What you do is wet up the fur and put some shampoo on the fur. Keep rubbing it in untill you get a nice layer of sudds all over the ferret or pups coat. Leave the sudds in for 3 to 4 minutes before rinseing out. If you can do this 1 to 3 times a day for 4 days . You will deffo see no fleas after a couple of

Use warm not hot olive oil. Dont use extra virgin olive oil. If you have a barrel of a syringe, draw some olive oil into it. Place it standing up in a cup of hot water from the kettle. As it heats up put a drop from the barrel on the back of you hand. You only want it warm. I use a barrel that measures up to 10ml. Put the barrel close to the eare so you can put some oil in the dogs ear.Gently squeeze the barrel dont just squirt it in.Put the oil in slowly. Dont let the dog move for a couple of mins if you can and repeat in other ear. Only put say a couple of mls you dont need the oil over flow

I will get some for you, still havent been able to slow her down in the pen so shed lose a bit of the rib thats shown. Ive changed her food a few times and uped and downed her quantity of food.It doesnt matter how much food I give her she just runs it of all day in the pen. If I bring her out for an hour or 4 hours, she still runs around the pen.She just wont sit easy at all. as said before i give them 1/2 lb tripe and then when i get them back in a soup lambs milk some boiled rice but thats just me Ive tried a few different diets, all meat, half meat half dried, different bags of

I can relate to that, the seasons do seem to be getting shorter with cover and rabbits breeding earlier

Its nearly that time to scratch the ferreting itch. Look forward to getting the bitch back at the ferreting. Hopefully she picks up where she left of last season and improves on that. Shes still only a young bitch.

best of luck with it
