  1. grand bitch for what I use her for. Dilemma is shes about 6 years old now. Shes far from wrote off but Ive been thinking of weather to breed a pup from her to bring on.It would be nice to get a pup from her that carries on her abilities and attitude for what I use her for. Shes never been bred from yet

Well she has grown alot bigger than I had hopedhows she going ray you know how its gone for me the last few seasons, strung out on ferreting. 6. I do she is a grand bitch, shes still only young. I got her out last season when she was only a few month old. Very soft mouthed, good marker, great with ferrets and other dogs and not too bad bushing. I would still class her as a pup. I dont have her date of birth but Id say shes about16 to 18 months. The only negative I have with her is she wouldnt slow down in the pen and she would run the weight of her. She would be out bushing for 4 of 5 hours ans still run around her pen for hours burning the weight of her.I was feeding her enough food for a 50lb dog at one stage, Tried all different die
  7. its nearly all over before its even started, seasons are bonkers
  8. sounds good, rare to get a day with out rain. Havent got out as much as I have hoped. so its great to just get out and enjoy it like you posted.
  9. just to add to what youve said is, well to me the most important thing to me when docking was legal we would take 1 third of the tail of and pull the skin back to reveal the bone and nipp a bit of the bone of this way when the skin goes back over it and all heals up your left with a nice thick piece of skin to protect the tip of the tail.Ive came accross it many a time where a dog with a docked tail would sit down and touch the tip of the docked tail of the ground and they would jump or if you touched the tip of the tail the dog would tuck its arse under. So along side the lenght I would put a
  10. My glenn dog died recently he wasnt well for a while. Couldnt give them away. Sent a few of them out of the country to a couple of clever people. They seem to be doing well for them. The Irish lads didnt seem to be interested in them unfortunately. Good worker he was pitty he didnt get to breed a few more bitches and probably pass some of his positives on to a few more glenns sorry to hear that, a real pity! I only noticed your topic on your old dog today.. best of luck with those two russells! yeah Im happy with them so far, little characters

  12. Read 5 Feet Down's post below for details. That's a few times now you've tried to start an arguement with me. Think before you speak. Keep the subject on Raymonds pups. Have to agree that they've great looking coats. like them with a decent coat, grand for the winter and warmer weather I strip them out by hand to keep them cooler.
  13. loved the pics thanks, nice spot you have
  14. Thanks there coming along nicely so far for me.
  15. got them like that. the bit that was left on is how much that should have been taken off unfortunately
  16. hopefully he wont with a bit of luck. The burrows are shallow digs but too much thick cover to be clearing and putting down nets all the time. so a decent sized strong ferret is a helpfull tool where I go and any bolters the dogs get a run or catch.
  17. lucky to get these 2 lads, doe had a phantom and then took late in the season, kits are approx 4 months old in the pics taken today. Keeping one for myself to bring on as his sire gets old. keeping this one for myself.
  18. wax jacket, I got a cheap one in Aldi years ago.It has more stitches than Frankenstein in it. Great for pushing through thick thorney cover. Tippical Aldi havent sold them for years now that Im looking for another one.Its got a very thin lining so I wear a fleace under it.
  19. just flush it out with warm salty water a few times a day.
  20. bid of bad luck, sorry to hear that. A friend lost a young dog last year from lepto according to a vet
