  2. As well as that a ferret that isn't big enough to hold or kill a rabbit could cause you to dig several holes as the rabbit drags it around. The reverse to what you just said is mostly when its time for me to stop ferreting. I like to dig, dont get me wrong I love the bolters aswell, but when the baby bunnies are about and your digging down to the ferret and he draggs the baby bunny away.Does my head in.You would have holes all over the place.
  3. what i am saying is with all the will in the world they are physically stuggle. with the low cover. the bigger dogs move easily over the top where the little chaps try to move through or kangaroo about. either way soon burns em out and they start lagging behind. i am a big fan of the smaller terriers but not in a lot of the top work we do. Just on what your saying there. Over the years Ive been guilty of getting dogs I want instead of dogs I need. Its all ferreting and bushing for me this season. My older mate got to dive on his first live bolter and grab it. His last couple of outings where all digs so he got to watch. I was slagging him about his net setting, winding him up when a rabbit bolted into the net I was winding him up about. He was glowing for a few minutes after it.
