yeah Im dreading the end.Im haveing a lovely season.Loveing it. I know it only seems like 5 minutes ago I was praying for September now the end is in sight. On the bright side they want year round rabbit control on some of my land so Ill do a bit of shooting with the air rifle and maybe see if I can get the hang of snaring and fenn traps. It will be the breading season with the birds for me soon. I collect alot of weeds and wild food for the birds.Good excuse to get the dogs out doing a little light bushing. This should help me pass the time till september.

I take it the box was in the off position otherwise you could have found it with the collar of the ferret. I always leave collars and box on untill Ive left the field and on the road. Probably went through more batteries this way.

I was supposed to get out monday but it didnt happen.I was watching ferreting vids on youtube all monday evenig to get my fix.Iltry and get out the weekend fingers crossed

out today for a few hours, got five. A bit of hard work getting them as the burrows are very dirty. Got an orange or ginger coloured buck. Got a black one the other week. Some weather, sun splitting the skies.Very warm digging.

Ive been catching a lot of bucks to I have no idea why. Yeah If it keeps going that way there be no bucks left. Thought it was a bit strange myself tobe getting so many bucks.There piss can stink,especially if its all over your hand because of a green horn

Out today for the second time this week with the 2 L plates. We got 8 monday and 10 today. Loads of digging in tight dirty ditches. I know there only borrows but we had to fill in a few still open digs. Farmer wont be happy when the cattle are back out with holes like that for accidents to happen. Caught our first doe with five little babies inside her, they where a little bigger than marbles. Most the rabbits we are getting seem to be bucks, not catching many does at all. Is anyone else noticeing that. Aske one of the Lplates to pass me a dead rabbit while I was in the ditch to get the ferret

Ive always grown my pups lean instaed of fat. Never had any problems as adult dog. Used to get all what is the best food and that. Dont bother with annoying myself whats the best anymore. There dogs, they eat there own shit. Once the food the pup is on has the pup looking healthy thats good enough with me. I went through the ukenuba, proplan, beta, raw. Ive used the cheapest 15kg bag of dried and some dogs did well and some didnt so I changed it to suit the dog. So my thinking now would be, if the pup or dog looks well on the food your using keep it on it.If the pup or dog is not doing well on
