  1. Price and pics of dam/sire? I'm looking for a bitch pup to bring on ATM...
  2. for what its worth, I ran a beddy whip x whip gr, she was 18 1/2 tts and was a good wee dog, mooching, ferreting, lamping. I was more than happy with her and her prey drive. (was sorry to loose her) but cant compare to bull x whippet as not seen one in the field. atb
  3. Again, sure they will be grand dogs pal, but for me, I don't want a bull x... Thanks for info tho. Atb
  4. I don't know who 'that Gaffa fella' is to be honest Quantox. I am sure the pups you are talking about will be from well working stock and good lines etc but I don't know him, his dogs or how they are bred and whether they would be suitable for me. I don't need a 200% dog, if there is such a thing, it would be wasted on me. I am still very much learning the sport, have only taken it up in the past three/four years, and only owned a dog (from a puppy) for two and half years but lost her early into this season just gone. I don't need a world beater, just a dog that i have a chance to bring
  5. this is the bitch I am looking to line. not the best pics (she is my brothers dog) the feedback and comments on this thread have given me a lot to think about in terms of what I want from the dog and how I going to get it. my thoughts are still a strong grey/whip cross, beddy grey cross 2nd cross. I have also been looking into crossing with a coursing dog. thanks again for posts guys. atb

  7. if you haven't sorted a beddy stud and still looking i would be happy to put you in touch with a mate i go out with who has a smart little straight beddy! at the best and hope you find what you want!
  8. Whip x grey, appreciate your help and time bud. Beddycross what whippet lurcher did you use? ATB lads
  9. Northernlite I hear you with that... It was sort of a late decision tho, the dam to my old dog is my brothers, don't live near each other and the discussion only happened recently really and I suppose the more time I have spent on here the more decisions/questions i have had. Andy, good to hear!
  10. yea that's the way I am looking to go. bitch is now in season so not hundred percent sure whether I will find a right dog in time or not...
  11. Andy id be interested to hear how they come on over the next 12 months or so; more for personal interest and to see how they do with the 'racer' in them - albeit im sure its more down to the owner than the breeding, but its all good knowledge for me. all the best with them! get a pic up if you can!
  12. Yea I'd be interested to know more about the dog... What it works? Age? Pictures? Good feet... Thick skin.. Usual questions I guess! Thanks for reply, all appreciated! Cheers
  13. Im in west yorks thou if I can find a good grafter and the right dog I'd be prepared to travel. As I said in earlier posts lost my young bitch last year who was my first. Currently running the dam to her, my brother bitxh and looking to get another pup from her. Through the time I put in I have learnt a lot, tho imagine lots more to learn. I have had some good feedback from this post bit struggled with others when trying to find a grafter. I'd mentioned blue in earlier post which didnt seem to go down well with many of folk on here. Colour doesn't make a difference to the dog and as I'd s
  14. I agree whippet greyhound would be ideal. Running out of time to find one though! Thanks for thoughts and sharing experiences
  15. Anyone know of any good greyhound whippets crosses or greyhound cross stud dogs? Looking to see what is available to put over a whippet beddy bitch. Had some good feedback in earlier posts just hoping to find a good worker suitable. Cheers
  16. Andy how old r the pups u had of deneside belle? What bitch did u use him with?
  17. No she is a beddy whippet deerhound, but thrown strong whippet. I don't have any experience with beddy greys and was interested in how they work, what they work etc and how they would work in lining to the beddy whip bitch. As I say she isn't a first cross and DH not pro dominant at all. Thanks for replies all
  18. Cheers northerlite. How big we're the sire and dam? I'd like something 21 or above this time I think. Good all rounder..
  19. If u see my earlier post I had a beddy whip x whippet grey who was a good little rabbiting dog. She was about 18.5 tts and would like something a bit bigger this time around. She was a keen little dog and I want that just with a bit more pace... Thanks for input thou appreciate the insight. Something to think about. Might be a taller whip grey or straight grey??
  20. Anyone have any options or experiences with first cross beddy greys? Would they be good to put with a beddy whippet? What pros and cons would they bring? Cheers
