I worked my last one for ten years and i have a year old bitch pup just coming on.Both my dogs are/were from bill dochertys/trevor cooks lines.Shamus,my last dog was lethal on foxes,hated them from an early age.They are very biddable,intelligent sighthounds,and very ,very faithfull.They are slower to start than lurchers though and i would,nt advise rushing them.I think bill docherty has an article on this very subject on here.

i ferret on a grouse moor and the rabbits are very big there.also they don't breed until about three weeks later than than there lowland relatives

having the same problem,introduced a young ferret that was found near my house and my castrated male is giving it a hard time.there are 3 nest boxes so they can get away from each other.He was the same with two young males but they outgrew him and he sort of gave it up.forgot to say ,the young ferret is a jill.I would add that for all the screaming, a lot of the time he is'nt doing very much to her and it has calmed over the last couple of weeks although still going on.Also he did hunt her at the start.

Does anyone know where i would get a wrist release slip(you know ,the cord from wrist to trigger) for my whippet.I have lurcher ones but i need one with a longer lead and small collar as she is quite small.Any one point me in the right direction?

i've got a 3.1 trooper,about 25mpg.Insured fully comp protected with 7 yrs n/c with liverpool and victoria for 180 a year.as said earlier the 3 litre engine is a disaster,the 3.1 is bulletproof,mines done 200,000.

i had a little bitsa lurcher ,years ago,that was overly protective of me,had a hold of my dad for shouting at me and i have a little greyhound bitch that is a touch racist,hates foreigners.Take it from me,theres some blood if they hit a varicose vein.

our nearest gamedealer pays 75p each.Considering i was getting a pound each 20 years ago it's pretty poor.As a side point,i am a fisherman and i get the same price for lobsters now as i was 20 years ago so it's not just rabbits.

hi all,just joined and thought i'd better introduce myself.i live in berwick and have a deerhound,a whippet,agreyhound,a bull/grey,a deerhound/grey,a jack russel and a lakie plus 5 ferrets.oh and i'm looking for a bull/whippet if anyone knows of any,shaun
