    They weren't fighting the Nazis in WW1.. Maybe they were simply playing along to help prevent a repeat of the horrors of the great war? You are right to say things would still have been very fresh in the mind, but do you you not think reconciliation and mutual respect were more important when millions of lives are hanging in the balance? i agree with you totally its a shame that the respct and reconcilation did,nt last that long

    i agree that in 1938 they would not have known what was to come but only 20 years prior to this they where mustard gassing are troops in the trenches and all those footballers would have lost fathers or uncles and family in that war.so in that respect ,it does seem odd to be giving a nazi salute But no one knows if they did it voluntarily They were more than likely told to do it i,m sure they were,but that in itself is a sad state of affairs after all that died in that war

    i,m not saying they were the only ones using gas,what i am saying is that it was only 20 years prior that we were at war with germany and every familly would have been touched by that war in some way,and they should not have been doing a nazi salute

    Read Bornhunters post above mate..................as human beings us British dont have the final say on what is right and wrong.....we think the way the Chinese burn them alive or club them is sick......they most probably think the way we keep them as pets is sick.................so its not FACT its opinion.     very nice kettle,i used to have the air cooled 550 tripple could never get the carbs balanced properly ,the faster you whent the smoother it got ,great in straight lines but awefull on the twistys and it was a nightmare to stop, i ride a honda xl 600lmf now, the one with big paris dakar tank nice comfy ride
