That's the way I would do it also work through the grits to remove old finish Then use tru oil couple of coats then cut back with finest wire wool then reapply building up to the required finish using thin coats This is done with tru oil Atb rob -

I usually do for about 40 secs about 5-6 times allowing to cool between each run Or you can weigh it then put in microwave weigh it again and so on until it looses no more weight At rob

You have done a good job there buddy Either make some bands from elastic bands looped together or get some theraband black or blue cut straight at 20mm That will do him spot on I've done a few for youngsters around that age at parents request Double blue or black Atb rob
