Being out with my dogs doing something..

I would'nt be worrying too much about the breed you might out over her- if she has "clicky knees",most likely to be Patella Luxation then she is totally unsuitable to breed from at all as this is a hereditory disease. If a dog isnt sound in all ways why on earth would you want to breed from it? A dog of 9 months that you already know cannot work is hardly ideal foundation stock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is mine, taken this morning. My eyes aint great but you could convince me it was the same dog

I have a bitch almost identical and she is great, best of luck with her

I have 2 young sprockers here and so far so good, flushing from heavy cover, enless stamina and eager to please. They are as drivey as they could be,level headed yet kind and gentle with the kids and other dogs. They are both kenneled and quiet with no destructiveness. They are well excercised etc and i couldnt be happier. I guess so long as they parents are both steady reliable workers you should be ok whatever you decide All the best

Thankyou for the helpful replies- i shall keep her away from the woods andon the usual open ground. She has got behind a few bunnies without making noise before so hopefully it was because of the above. I shall give her some time then try some easy runs on the lamp. If it turns out she is going to be noisey it isnt the end of the world, she is a lovely dog and a joy to have around anyway- it would just be nice to finally have a good lamping dog )

I took the dogs out this morning for a run alongside some woods. I have a young spaniel which is turning out to be an excellent flushing dog,i had her and a young 12 month old lurcher bitch offlead. The spaniel flushes a rabbit from cover, the lurcher takes off after it through the woods. This would have been fine if the lurcher had not been screaming like a pig behind this rabbit. Now i have not done anything with her- she has seen some daytime rabbits caught by another dog and is really keen, however i have just sorted out some permission to start this little bitch on the lamp in a few wee

I take out a sprocker with lurchers and at a young age she is great through any cover- she works tirelessly and gets in there regardless of whether there is anything there- i would'nt change a thing about her

whats good for kennel cough

Unless the dog is really ill with a secondry infection i just leave it be,make sure it has a comfy bed, some tempting food and let it rest,if you have other dogs i should expect them all to have it though -
i can definately second M&S,i have made two large claims in the past, both of which were settled quickly and without any trouble

Beef tripe might be useful too as it is fattier than lamb tripe. If the pup appears lively, happy and is otherwise well i would'nt panic. As others have said it is probably just an awkward looking stage - i try to get pups onto raw from the minute i get them ,however i believe a healthy dog will do good on a reasonable diet I have a greyhound here that is always lean,it is just her natural condition and she is a fit strong dog, perhaps yours will be the same

Hi All I am looking for a scope to put onto my .222 and have been looking at a Hawk nighteye but have heard that these rattle to bits if its on a centrefire. I did'nt want to spend a huge amount on a Schmit and Bender as i shall only be using this gun for occasional fox SO here i am asking the advice of you folks as useful advice was given previously on moderator choice. All answers appreciated!

If i ever have another terrier i certainly wouldnt allow it to hunt rabbits. A few weeks ago we went out to a farm to remove a fox but ended up spending an hour getting to dog( in an enormous woodpile) to find she had a bloody rabbit. I certainly was'nt smiling so would strongly advise to leave the rabbits well alone

Thankyou She is beddy/whippet/grey/wheaten x whippet, she is about 14 months if i remember right

I am certainly happy to wait until she is ready but we don't have an end of season for rabbits so she will be handy addition when ready,i would hate to ruin her because she was pushed too hard too early
