    Hi all, will try to make the story short for you all, had a fantastic female h/h and used to fly and hunt her in engalnd superb, moved to france and started to earn money from her by flying to public, once again superb, she landed on electric pylons in our field once too many times and the fatefull day came and she died. thought long and hard about another one and being too early in the year for a parent reared and also had the brain wave to imprint one so it would follow at low level rather than try to go up to the pylon, once again superb, got a male at 5 weeks old manned and trained flew

    hi all, i live in france in the limousin dept 87 and fly a male harris and two european eagle owls , did hunt with my female harris over here and do falconry experiences for the expats over here too, but had a bad turn when she landed on a telegraph wire and was fried, so have to fly everything on a creance now as the pole is still in my field but cant get it insulated. there a re lots of phessies and rabbits over here but you have to know where to look for them as they are very typically nocturnal. i have a question for anyone who lives out here where do you get your chicks from as i have to

    hi all, just wanted some opinions as to weather or not to put my two european eagle owls in to two flights or one as they are brother and sister and have lived together since born they are now about 4 months old and fly superbly for me as we do faclonry experiences out here in france and courses as i used to own a falconry centre in england but have never kept two owls together in the same flight free lofted, the problem i am having is when fedding them in the flight they each take food from me but after i have fed them and waited for them to finish all food they seem to start fighting each ot

    hello, i also have heard this and i was taught about it on the dsc part 1 course, apparently it does not make any difference to your accuarcy or ballistics as the pure pressure from the round as it starts its journey down the barrel is enough to push the tape of before the round gets anywhere near it so have no fear. if you have any doubts then try it down a range and see if it makes any difference. be iterseted to see if it does let us know wont you. cheers

    My garden is around 20 ft wide and 60 ft long not a very big garden, i used to fly my birds up and down the garden to the fist most nights i got home from work i dont know anyone who would leave there bird in a aviary all week and get the bird out just on the weekend to hunt as the birds fitness wont be up to much, but just getting the birds wings pumping 3-4 nights a week does make a difference to a birds fitness its obvious the more you can hunt a bird the better but to say that you shouldnt have a bird of prey if you cant fly it everyday i think your wrong as it never stopped me having som

Hi Your Harris should be in aviary throu the moult. causing her stress will give her stress marks in her feathers. and from what you have written it sounds that she is stressed. craggrat quite right, what on earth are you doing feeding your bird on the fist when she is in the moult should be left alone to gain good feather condition and bring her weight down when finished moulting without her seeing you feed her untill the time comes to re

    hi all, just wanted to know what everyone would think as going to set up a hunting lodge in france. would include a days zeroing, clay shooting, archery, food and alcohol. ( well we are in france ) would be towered or high seats for the wild boar, roe and fallow, also had an idea that people might want to come out to shoot what they call out here ragodin which in british terms is coypu, bloody great big beaver with a rats tail, about the size of a small springer, and there are thousands out here. would be just for the british market and would ( obviously being in france ) in

    hi all, thanks for the welcome to the forum. just joined as want to know what all of you think towards a possiblity of a bussiness i might be starting up. have been hunting/fishing/falconry/ferreting/stalking since i was about 12 and now have moved to france and thinking about setting up a hunting lodge out here for the wild boar and deer since there is a lot around where i live. would be open only to the british market so they could get a taste of what its really like to be staring at one of these magical beasts. please send me your thoughts and let me know what you think.
