    YET TO SEE A TERRIER WITH A BETTER NOSE????? MAYBE YOU AIN'T SEEN THAT MANY TERRIERS?? And maybe he has..... This is the thing that also stands out for me too. Some but not all plummers are very houndy in their approach to hunting. Some of the dogs are more houndy in appearance as well. I have a male plummer here that for me has an outstanding nose. The best i have seen on a terrier, and anybody who witnesses it says how good it is. I had the chance to run him on a hunt with a pack of harriers the other week on a stretch of river.     Why would you expect them to do something that other terriers can't Matty73 - i wouldnt like i say this lad bends my ear about them like they are the dogs bollocks (pardon the pun )but when i look at them i just see a type of russel like i said earlier its not my intention to start argument or p#ss anyone off just trying to understand the reasons for its popularity like the patterdale became popular in my opinion because they mentally strong and forgiving to mistakes during training its also easier and quicker to enter compared to some other breeds .im just interested in peoples opinions

    i trust most of mine completely still wouldnt kiss them and the like but ,each has a different personality i have one jill thats a right grumpy little shit most days wont latch on but will give a good nip when she doesnt want to be bothered .most jills change when they have kitts as well for obvious reasons but i do have one jill that is happy to let me handle her kitts as they are being born but i raised her by hand and trust is mutual

    i would try different vet sounds like either grass seeds or mites is there any dark wax residue in ear

    my first thought would have been mites in the ear but if the vets checked dont know i would take him back to vets and explain the drops only work for 10 mins then he scratching again must be something there if he scratching that bad to break skin

    not trying to start an argument but a lad has been bending my ear about plummer terriers how good grafters they are not really convinced myself got to admit i have never seen plummer work but it all just seems like reinventing the wheel so to speak .ive seen borders, lakelands, russells, bedlingtons, fell types, patts and all manner of crosses of the already mentioned now this is the prickley part what has the plummer got to offer that these other breeds havent in your opinion but lets keep it civilised if this has been on before and caused trouble i apologise but am genuinely interested in wh
