    my youngest bitch is border line shes reckless fearless stops for nothing once shes on something thats why shes injured AGAIN one of these nights its gonna be lights out if shes not careful if i only had the one dog it would be short season as it would prob be injured more than it ran its bit like too game a terrier it just ends up smashed up or dead and you would get less digs as dog is injured more than a nip n bay type but is that drive or lack of brains shes hard work at times a proper handful almost possessed but very handy dog when shes not injured

    even 1% of either blood whichever way round the breeding it would not be pure blood technically even after several generation breeding pure you would still get the odd throwback from dormant genes but like has already been mentioned theres not really an answer more an opinion and for me personally i would say 7/8 and your getting same wastage as first cross nearly

    if theres any decent lurcher lads you know in your area get yourself out with them offer to carry that usually works lol watch and learn for a season next season you should have a good idea what you need rather than what you want and probably chance of dog from decent breeding as with all things in life you get what you pay for and theres no garauntees good breeding is only small percentage the rest is up to you .your decision but i would hang back from buying dog till you do a bit

    jammy fecker lol and i bet you have no anti cranks bothering you either do you, but then we dont have deadly snakes and spiders when we hunt so i guess it balances out have you lost any dogs to snakes or spiders No touch wood ive been lucky with the snakes but ive had plenty of mates that have lost dogs to snakes the worst is when they come in your back yard and get the dog in its kennel. we have snakes that come into your yard for your dogs but ours have two legs .is there no way to keep them out

    3/4 collie whippet been my favourite since watching john bayles work rabbits as a kid seen some good beddy whippets aswell theres not much between them bar personal visual preference

    how long is a piece of string it depends on dog its breeding and how much work its had but at 51/2 it should be at its peak. just like us as they get older they lose a little pace and flexability be slower to recover between runs and feel it more the day after it takes me 2 days to recover from good session on drink now and i find myself heading home when i would normally be moving on to shorts lol .they also tend to pick up more injuries which also take longer to heal, as a dog gets older and starts to struggle i ease off the running and use it more for ferreting till eventually becoming a d

    my dogs will take pheasant and partridge while hunting cover sometimes before they have chance to move or sometimes in mid air as they try to take off my youngest bitch has had woodcock its suprising how differently they retreives feather to rabbit being instintively gentler .it gives the ferrets a change in diet from rabbit

    went out early hrs on lamp got 5 rabbits just round doors could have run more but its early and would have been stupid as dog isnt fully fit and greedy .im suprised at just how many rabbits were out maybe the fox control is payin off has anyone else noticed an increase in numbers in their area.. only saw one hare though but maybe they were in woods kind of doubt it though as round here its a sign of a good dog if it can catch a hare, pregnant a leverett it doesnt matter, its a hare doesnt matter that next year there wont be any for their superdog to run because hel have sold it by then as top

    thats right i did text u saying i was beating that day but asked you if sunday was ok for you and you never replied then your mate phoned and said he definately wanted dog and to keep hold of it as he would come pick it up this wknd text him to ask if still coming but again no reply
