I don't cut the quick intentionally, just the odd one on a black nail or when the dog moves! Not tried the soap thing. Will give vaselina ago as i have wound powder but that doesn't work. Thaks for the good suggestions.

Anyone have any tips on how to stop a dogs quick bleeding? I get them to stop bleeding and as soon as the dog moves it starts again!

Same here, we sometimes come home with nothing, better than sitting in the house all night though, we had more luck in the day with munty and roe before the ban :whistle:

Wow you do have a mixed bag! I've not seen many dogs with one bule eye one brown eye, but i have came across a dalmatian with wall eyes beleive it or not, i wouldn't have until i saw it, not blind either, good luck with em, any pics?

i always thought it was 18 mth that thay matured?? i could be wrong Depends on the breed, i'd say a whippet was fully mature at 12 month old.

Wait til he's about 12 month old, he'll then be fully mature, if they haven't dropped by then get him done, breeding from a dog with retained testicles is wrong as it's hereditary. Castrated dogs or spayed bitches make no lesser better dogs than entire ones, i have both and they aren't different in working abilitys.

He's one beaut of a dog, i'll be getting a 1/4 bull/grey in a week or so's time and if she makes the grade in a few years time, i'll be putting her to a half cross.

To my surprising delight, i met turks golly tonight and would just like to say i was starstruck. lol. He is an awesome animal and absolutely cracking in the flesh! He was a bit big to walk away with unnoticed. :11: Just thought i'd share this with you all as he's a well known dog. He is a credit to the owner. It was too dark to take any pics from my phone, but im going to see him in again in a couple of weeks in daylight.

Wow what a litter! IMO culling pups is cruel, nature will more than likely take it's toll with a fai few. The biggest litter i've had was 13 in april this year, i was pts because it had a cleft palate and dermoid sinus, but all the others were absolutely fine. I hand fed them aswell as putting them on the bitch and they were on solids at 2 1/2 - 3 weeks old. The bitch coped well. Good luck with them.
