  1. I prefer fox and deer, but deer more as it can go in the freezer! Don't get me wrong rabbits are fun, but seeing my dogs on a fox or deer is much more satisfying. But obviously i can't anymore.
  2. Well done fella, it's great when your pup catches it's first. All your hard work paying off. Cracking cross you got there.
  3. Personally i prefer bitches. OR CASTRATED DOGS, i hate adult male dog behaviour, pisses me off, cock their legs everywhere, always wanna shag a bitch, dominant, unpredictable around other males, arrogant. Maybe coz im female i prefer bitches. They are placid, but still have guts, don't piss everywhere, don't wanna shag anything and it's easier to have a pup from em when the times right. All respect to male dogs as i know not all of them are how i described, but definately bitches for me.
  4. In my experience, a bitch should have their first season between 6 and 12 months, although in most cases the bigger the breed the older they will be when they have their first season. I'd take her to the vets just in case she has an infection though.
  5. Feck me joeb she looks mighty sore? May i ask how she got in that state? Full respect to you for getting the best treatment possible, it really shows you care about your dogs. I hope she makes a speedy, good recovery.
  6. I can't see the pic fella. I want to, i love the 3/4 1/4 grey/collie's!
  7. I would've had that 1 if it was a bitch, my pup from the same litter is doing really well. Great little pup, apart from her needle teeth!
  8. Now that is one smashing looking animal.
  9. What a fantastic looking pup! Well done with her, i hope she does well for you, she certainly looks the part.

    JABS

Well i have 15 dogs, yes 15! They are vaccinated as pups, which is around £50 and every year ALL of them have a booster. An annual booster costs around £40. I only go to the vets for boosters or when the dogs get ill, i used to get wormer and frontline from them too, but internet is much cheaper. I would much rather go to a vet for jabs as i know that the stuff in the jab is the vaccine. At the moment this is the regime: puppys 8 weeks: distemper, hepatitus, parvo, parainfuenza, lepto. '' '' 10 weeks: as above. 14 month old: as above. 2nd year lepto. 3rd year lepto.
  11. Now that is one heck of alot of rabbits, well done to all of you. Which one is tara?
  12. That's good going, well done fella. Nice dog to.
  13. I don't ALWAYS cut the quick, my first post was just something i wanted to know what everyone else did, it was just a coincidence that i had a dogs nails to do and they were ALL black, i hardly cut a bit of nail off, the dog had to be pinned, he usually goes to the vet and i managed quite well, only doing 1 out of 18.
  14. I think you'll find it's mine. A pitbull. Not my dog, but a fantastic pic of the breed.
  15. Well i was clipping one of my friends dogs nails last night, everyone of em black, i thought i had managed to do all without touching a quick, but i was wrong, i done a front claw. I grabbed the bar of soap from bathroom and stuck the claw in it, stopped bleeding straigt away.
  16. No i don't need saluki x, can't get on with em. :11:
  17. Me and my mum have the same username, shes my pup, i also have 2 other lurchers an adult and a 6 month old and a borzoi. My mum and dad own the rest. The pup my mum got a while ago (now 6 month old) has about 1/16 bull in it, so not really a bull x. Shes settled in really well, showing promise already with her attitude :11: She won't be in charge, she just likes her home comforts.
  18. Finally i have my new pup, been waiting for her since 2 weeks old shes now 6 weeks old. She's my first bull x (3/4 grey 1/4 bull). It was a long journey home for her friday night and she slept all the way. She then slept all night, well i say all night but we didn't get home till 3am! :11: She has been a pleasure so far, no whining at night, (prob because she sleeps in bed with me and so far clean overnight. Shes quite cconfident and already loves ragging everything! Hands, feet, shoes, trouser legs! Overallim very happy with her, she was well worth waiting fo
  19. I wouldn't wait, get him straight there, they can't castrate without your consent, better to be safe than sorry.
  20. Thanks fella. I'll give the chemist a go.
  21. Now that is one smart dog you have there. Hope she does well for you.
  22. 3's better than none at all. It's getting out with the dogs that counts. Nice pic.
