  1. Very nice pup too, looks like you made a good choice. Im crap with names sorry!
  2. thankyou mars. It's hard to get pics of her in full flight coz she doesn't run in full unless she's seen something to run after lol. Cheers luke and mlb.
  3. no roe.....of course not...............sure is a borzoi in there. my bitch missed on last night, was a still night though i just like to keep them on there toes/hoves.does the borzi work? Anything to keep them on their toes will do............only recently she has started being worked. She's fast and has lots of staying power. I do tend to pay more attention to the lurchers on the working front simply because they know everything they need to know, you know what it's like.............she comes in handy when the lurchers are injured.
  4. it's a belgian shepherd mate (malinious).
  5. no roe.....of course not...............sure is a borzoi in there.
  6. Took the dogs out for abit of different scenery the other day and just to be nosy and see what was about..............and of course to get some good pics if that's possible lol. Well here you go just thought i would share em.
  7. He is a nice racy looking dog. Very similar to my bitch in question. I would prefer to put a collie/grey over her, but it's just a worry as to whether speed and racynesss would disappear slightly. What was he like on hare pre-ban? Daytime i must add. My bitch is racier than my 3/4 grey 1/4 collie. Sniper pre ban i used to hunt deer mainly with the dogs and if the ban gets lifted i have found new hare ground that has took my fancy, so here's hoping.
  8. never heard of havin the craic???? - - some folks are so sensative - must be that time of month.... (no pre menstral replies please) Matey.......he sure is a big lad................and well fed!!! , once he matured and does what you aske of him- thens thats fari do's i wasn't replying to your post...............it was the dick that said it was one ugly dog. Why do blokes always use 'the time of the month' for women that speak their minds??
  9. If people don't have anything constructive to say, then don't say f**k all. It's a nice dog mate, ignore the pricks, im sure he will do you proud.
  10. Does anyone have either a 1/2 grey 1/2 saluki put to a 3/4 grey 1/4 bull or a 1/2 grey 1/2 collie put to a 3/4 grey 1/4 bull? If so do you have any pics and what were they like on all quarry pre ban. I have a 3/4 grey 1/4 bull bitch who i would like to breed from in the future, meaning 4 or 5 years time, if she proves her worth over the next few seasons she has. For her breeding she is very racy but has fantastic drive and go power with excellent speed. She is only two years old at present so hasn't been tested properly, but so far she has done me and herself proud showing great promise. When
  11. Pretty pointless to me, might aswell get a greyhound pup and rear it like you would a *lurcher*. But each to their own.
  12. That is a very nice pup. The sleepless nights will subside, once she's settled. Babies are alot worse...................
  13. Good bag there. It's nice to see a saluki doing lurcher work. Nice dog to.
  14. Not sure about crosses, i have a pure who i must be honest was an intentional showdog, but i got bored with showing and gave up, i have had her out lamping a couple of times and she is showing good interest, i think with time and patience she will be good. She is very loyal and has just as good obedience as the lurchers. She stands 29 to the shoulder. Will never be breeding from her though as she is spayed, sometiimes i regret it though. She is incredibly fast and for a big dog can turn well.
  15. Hunter-girl, all dogs evovle from the wolf centuries back not just the BELGIAN shepherd. I must stress that they are not a dog or cross for everyone as me and my other half have a pure belgian, a malinios. He can be very headstrong and we've had to correct a few little behavioural problems with him as he's grown up, but in the wrong hands he would be a nightmare, proper training and discipline required, they are a herding breed similar to the collie.
  16. That's good going, well done mate.
  17. Ahh well done, any catch is a good one, hopefully more to come, your girls look proud.
  18. Well done to you both, keep it up, i like fly.
  19. only saying but if you had a good sire you will always get a good pup back?. and never have your dog laid up in pup or season,i work both but its still intresting to hear But what if you couldn't find a bitch that you liked to put the dog over? It's so much easier getting a pup from a bitch in my opinion. I don't dislike male dogs, i just prefer bitches. Also if you time it right, you can have pups in the summer, so your bitch will be fine for the winter. I know not all men are the same oots............maybe your an exception
  20. how can you say males are dodgy with other males .......isnt how there brought up what would cause them to be dodgy i had 5 male dogs all togther and there wasnt even one little tussle between them. must admit the cocking of the leg isnt the best when the b*****ds manage to get in the house lol personally id have a bitch and a dog if i could just so i had one of each lol i didn't say all males are dodgy with other males, my mum has 3 entire males that live perfectly well together, but i have come across alot of male dogs that are dodgy with other males. Just like some human mal
  21. See most dogs piss me off, like men, once they've sniffed an in season bitch that's all they're after when they meet another bitch, they're too headstrong, arrogant, most of the time dodgy with other males and the general cocking of the leg etc i could go on......
  22. My collie/grey will still catch rabbits, BUT if she can't be arsed to run after them she won't, she still retrieves them live to hand, but if she sees her bigger game she's always keen and always puts in the effort, she was great on it all a couple of years ago, starting to frustrate me abit. Would it be an idea to lay off tracking the big stuff for a while and only go after rabbits?
  23. Has anyone experienced a dog not wanting to catch rabbits when it's been worked alot on bigger game?
  24. Always had bitches, one to keep a pup from them if they turn out good and two i can't stand male dog characteristics......
  25. My 3/4 grey 1/4 bull took foxes pre ban, she still would now im sure......
