  1. Im not selling her because she's a hancock bred dog, i have an 8 year old hancock bred bitch here thankyou who has done everything and more i have asked of her. You like his dogs or you don't, don't come on here trying to change my ad to a hancock slagging thread.
  2. I am haveing to rehome my 3/4 greyhound 1/4 beardie/border collie pup because i just cannot bond with her. I lost my young bull x in september to a severe fit and it broke my heart. It took me a while to get over him. So a couple of weeks ago i decided the time was right to start again. I chose to get a pup of totally different breeding and character to what my bull x was. She is a lovely bitch but we just have no connection. It is not fair on her and i can't train and work a dog that i have no bond with. She is 10 and a half weeks old, has had her first injection and will be haveing her next
  3. We did, not sure whether torcheys doing a write up, i think they're are at work. But you are now against bigboy. Score was 0-1!!
  4. Skitz your reply's are sensible although i don't think this lad is being sensible with such a young pup. If taking a pup of that age lamping then let it watch most runs and give it a good easy sqautter so he has a good chance of catching, only one or two runs on each outing just to build confidence, you don't want to run him too much as it will either break his heart by not catching and he will stop chasing or you will make him frustrated through not catching and he will start to yap on the chase. Go steady with him, there is no rush to get a young dog going, he has his whole working career ah
  5. I used to own a pure borzoi. She was a beautifull looking dog and had plenty of speed and stamina, she had good prey drive but just would not course anything, she would just stand and watch qaurry run away in front of her it drove me insane!! The only time she would chase was if another dog was with her, not really ideal is it. She was purely from show dogs though so maybe a borzoi bred from decent coursing background parents might be better, who knows, but i certainly wouldn't buy a borzoi or a borzoi x with the intentions of working it. As for being bred for hunting wolves well all i can say
  6. I think it would make a very good lurcher. My partner has a malinios and if he had that extra bit of speed he would be class. His prey drive is second to none, he retrieves like a gundog just a tad hard mouthed, is pretty quick for a big dog, has a good thick coat and has really strong tight feet, very intelligent and has stamina to die for. He has been out lamping several times and caught a couple of bunnies, if there wasn't a ban he would also do very well on animals that bit back. When he is quite abit older he will most likely be put across a good greyhound bitch. He is also a good healthy
  7. lol sorry the 6th pic down black one!!!
  8. Fantastic photos LL. That bull x and the black dog are my favourates.
  9. Still had no reply from stuboi, think he might be in the forces, did have a message from him a while back but seems to have gone....And on the matter of collie grey running against bigboy if its running on my ground its going have to be on a friday or saturday, after the last turnout i had about an hours kip and had to drive 60 miles to work unless someone else can put them up...... at the risk of repeating myself, its dark at 5 pm , so you could run early. also with it being a draw last time you could just do suden death , or run for 1 hour, so long as both parties agree
  10. She certainly does get her mischeivable head on at times lol. I haven't moved away from bull x's paid and never will, i still have my 3/4 x bitch and as you know i still would of had ammo if he hadn't of died like he did, tash is now getting on abit and isn't a reliable worker for all season and the other bitch seems to get an injury with her feet every damn season which gets a tad annoying so a new alrounder was needed for next season to work alongside the other and she should be perfect for next september.
  11. Here's a couple of pics of my new pup, i got her last sunday evening and she has settled in really well, she is 3/4 grey 1/8 beardie 1/8 border collie, she is full of character and very bright and should be ready for work next season.
