  1. I personally wouldn't want a working dog taller than 26/27'' but i wouldn't want one smaller than 22/23'' purely for the work i do with them. Saying that though if i had a pup and it turned out smaller or biggr than i wanted then i would have to work with it, can't help the size they make in reality as they are mongrels essentially.
  2. Good going especially this time of year! Dog looks well also.
  3. My bitch broke her toe last december, she couldn't run again for 10 weeks. Another 2 weeks no running at least, road walking on a lead will be fine.
  4. Thankyou jimmy! I have just made an appointment to see richard torr with her on wednesday, it's a good 2 hour drive away but if it means my girl will be in good hands im happy.
  5. Absolute cracking pup that, if i had the room and money i would have him!
  6. Thanks sarah, just got to me that's all, losing my 10 month old pup last year, got this littlun and this happens!! Im ok now though, just hope it gets sorted. Samba i have no idea how she done it, i was out for a few hours one day and came home to her holding her back leg off of the ground, i thought she could have done it by jumping off of the sofa badly or running about and slipping on the floor, i wish i knew the exact cause.
  7. This was my little man whom i sadly lost at the tender age of 10 months. Still hurts to this day. My 3 year old bitch. And my 8 year old bitch which i never had many photos of as a pup.
  8. Thankyou very much for that rio, sounds really good on the website, i will definately be phoning on monday. Is he reasonable with his pricing?
  9. I took her to a greyhound vet a couple of weeks ago after a week had passed of her holding her leg off of the ground and all he did was feel the leg and said she had DAMAGED her knee cruciate ligament and that a couple of weeks rest would fix it, she is still not using the leg properly, it is swollen around the knee and she has little muscle on that leg compared to the other, all the signs of a ruptured cruciate when i researched it, someone else has also said ruptured on another forum, i am going to take her to another vet on monday and see what they have to say. Riohog have you used th
  10. Hi all, my 18 week old bull x did the above mentioned to her leg about a month ago, i have only just found out what it is and have looked it up on the net, surgery is required and as the injury is a month old arthritis will have already set in, making surgery harder and the recovery after surgery less likely to be a success. She is not insured and i have no doubt surgery will reach hundreds, has nayone else had experience of this injury? What are the chances of her haveing a decent working life? I really am at a loose end and sometimes think i should just pack up working dogs as i am alwa
  11. I am in love He is absolutely stunning! I'd call him Rocco or Reggie!
  12. He's looking really well now, but queenie is just bootiful!
  13. I have bull x's because i love their personalities! Easy to train, love life, love people, will do anything for you and are extremely loyal. I find they put 110% into every run they have. They are also quite confdent, nothing seems to phase them. My 1/4 bull bitch has been the best alrounder i have had, my pup is turning out quite racy to, neither are 1 job dogs, i expect them to do anything.
  14. I freeze any rabbits for about a week and my dogs get wormed every 3 months like they would do anyway and i have never seen worms.
  15. very nice bitch i wouldnt mind a pup out of her!! lol thankyou jimmy!
  16. When i will be breeding my bitch, it will be purely because i and a couple of good friends want a pup, of course my friends will get a pup for free but i would not give a pup away to just any stranger, easy come easy go, i go on the fact that people genuiely value the things they pay for, i have bought every one of my dogs but in the future i shouldn't have to again because i will get one from a friend that i know has decent dogs! Money shouldn't be a reason to breed, if anything i need to start saving to give the pups the best start in life they could have and it isn't cheap!
  17. what is your problem mate people like you are my problem. how can you turn around and say the bitch is a good dog when its not even done a full seasons work yet??? she had these pups early dec so she has missed this season being pregnant, rearing the pups and being milked up so she hasnt worked at all and she is only two so would of been to young for last season there is enough shit out there without you adding to it with pups off a yapper thats so good your gonna get rid of it!! Well said jimmy!
