  1. Well you shouldn't miss me anyway as there will be 8 lurchers, a borzoi and possibly a jack russell and a tall bloke with loads of tattoos and a few kids. Basically kids, adults and loadsa dogs!
  2. Its the Old Berks hunt open day and lurcher/terrier show, hound parade and car boot sale! Also a pet dog show so plenty to do.all starts 11.30 That's the one!
  3. I would definately say the 3/4 x. My bitch will take anything and she has no trouble picking up the rabbits.
  4. where is fairford could any one teel me It's not far from me, just down the road from swindon really. It's advertised in the CMW. Thames Valley Hunt. I think.
  5. Not yet as when i take pics they look down and you can't really see their faces. I will post some more pics on sunday when they are 3 weeks old, they should be walking a bit by then too.
  6. love the 3/4 grey. Who bred it? I have a merle bitch of the same breeding. Shes one of the best dogs i have.
  7. Me, my family and a few friends are going to a lurcher show this sunday, in faringdon, near fairford. Just wondering if any of you were going?
  8. Thanks for the great comments andrea. Hugo is a little darling i no, but he can't stay as hes male.
  9. Pups are growing well and crawling everywhere. A couple of them now have their eyes open too. They had their first wormer today and boy did they like that!
  10. Nice looking pup you have there. Hope she does you proud.
  11. She looks like an evil little fecker there. Feel sorry for the poor old bitch.
  12. no idea, maybe as you say they are quite big, although one pup was very small only half the size and never thrived,so it was pts,one other is smaller & lighter but real healthy so was kept . second pup born was stuck sideways in the womb, and her labour stopped,so took her to the vets for a hormone jab and she delivered the rest no probs . Sorry about the one you lost. I lost one in my litter. I still have a smallest of the litter, but he is healthy and strong if there was something wrong with him he would have died by now. Glad the jab worked for you, didn't for mine. Good lu
  13. I think it's just her, she is very laid back, i can't say it's the cross as i haven't seen another 3/8 5/8 collie/grey work. Shes will take fox with another dog, i don't think she has the confidence to do it on her own. When we come across one on the lamp, she will look at it and when let off the slip she will just stand there and stare at it, even if the fox is lamp shy and legs it, she won't chase it. But if we let one of our other lurchers off after it she will deffo join in then, i think it's a case of you go first then i'll help you. lol.
  14. That isn't a straight whippet/grey, that has definately got collie in it.
  15. Nice pups. Do you know why they were born so early? They look pretty big.
  16. That is a lovely looking dog? Do you know which stud dog it is by? isnt it tweedledum? oh no... dont ask him that...he owns more collie crosses then hancock I know she gorgeous. Shes sired by Tweedle Dee. have you had other collie crosses? if so how does she compare? Yes i have a 3/4 cross and a 1/2 cross, both from hancock also. They all have their uses and i love them all. The 1/2 and 3/4 cross are used mainly for the foxes and deer, the 3/4 cross is best one for hares. The 3/8 5/8 is fast, clever and ideal size the only quarry she won

  18. Yes i do collie/grey,keep me posted on his progress and put up some more pics Andrea Here you go.
  19. Well done for getting permission mate. Regarding the dew claws, i'd say you've had a bit of bad luck! My vet will remove the dew claws for medical reasons and they charge about £300!
  20. I would get a 3/8 5/8 collie/greyhound from hancocks. I have this cross and shes great. Just the right size to, you might come across some bigger stuff while out hunting. She is quick aswell, she has only 1 hare, but that's because there aren't many around my way.
  21. Oh yes they will be great for lamping, i have there half brother and hes a cracking dog. I was going to keep a fawn or red bitch if there was one, but there isn't, so all are being sold. PW you really like Hugo don't you
  22. My lurcher pups are now a week old and are twice the size they were when born. They are very lively and noisy. You wouldn't believe that they had fit in my bitches belly!
  23. I feed all my dogs on beta greyhound and they all do well on it. I don't feed pups on it though, they get pro plan puppy.
