What sort of money are you thinking of spending? I have 2 cracking little pups left that have been breed for that very job. They are Whippet x Lakeland/Beddlington. They will make good little workers but are also good house pets as well, one pup in particular is very much a 'one man and his dog' type. PM me and ill send you my phone number so you can ring me.

I have a cross and he is the best working dog ive had. He also makes a fantastic guard dog in the house and car, is my best friend and so loyal. It makes him very hardy as well and with the thick coat he barely gets a scratch. I would recommend anytime and will deffo be breeding from him. Here he is.......

hunter-girl replied to budharley's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
I got a litter of Whirriers (lakeland/beddlington x whippet) They from good working stock and will be cracking ferreters. They all dew clawed and tattoeed ready to go end of the month. All wormed, frontlined and vet checked. Should make around 20" tts (mum is 16" tts and dad is 21" tts). I have 4 pups left out of 9 - 3 bitches and 1 dog. Can email you photos. Cheers Hels -
could say that about alot of cross breeds mate - its a decent price for good working dogs
-
Sorry but no way - she too good a working dog to sell hence why i bred from her.
-
Do you mean the mother of the pups??
-
how much u wont for thm pal I want £225 for bitches and £200 for dogs Cheers

well currently the farther is used for ferreting, lamping and bushing with terrier. The dam is used for ferreting, bushing and ratting (and what ever else i find her doing!). So the pups really were bread for the same thing just to get the benefits from both dogs. Although the dam is fast she isnt quite fast enough for rabbits in the open but it also put a bit more guts and hardy into the whippet. They will be good pest controllers dogs.

Thanks very much Rookie Hunter, they are cracking little dogs - im keeping 2 myself to bring on and work. If they work anything like mum then they will be little crackers!!!

You know what to do then... Its exactly the same down with me as well - I was out for 4 hours the other night where it is normally boiling and seen very few bunnies and everything was sitting right on the hedge line which is a waste of a run for the dog. Ok the wind dropped right down to nothing but still its getting bad down here
