    Im after abit more advice if any of you can help. The same bitch that was talked about in the thread 'Nasty cut' is one i took off a good mate as he moved to the north of england where there is very little work in his area for a lurcher. in her first season she hurt herself running a rabbit and he took her to the vets and was told she either had a hair line fracture in her back right leg or chipped some bone of the leg. he spent alot of time letting her heal and building her up on the lead on the road and she was walking with only the slightest of noticable limps and she runs as well and as fa

    thanks everyone for all your advice. its her front left paw and her middle right toe if your looking at it how she would look at it. is there any way of telling if it is snapped or stretched at this stage? couple of lads have said about havin the toe taken off

    i will google it. cheers for all the advice i had the bitch to see a mate that is a vet out of hours an he said she had done the tendon and advised alot of rest and salt water to keep the cut clean

    iv found with my labs if they start to run around me i put my back to a tall fence or wall so they cant get behind me. might be completly different with the lurchers but worth a try

    cheers il see about getting her down in the morning. bitch seems cursed chipped some bone on her back leg last season in her first season an she has not long finished a long building up period getting her back running with only a slight limp!

    i was out the hill tonight and one of my bull crosses bumped up a bluey wish turned her on to one of our rough stone tracks. her been the dog she is she never slowed and ran for another 500 yards. when she came back she had a failry deep cut between her paw pads wish was bleeding badly and the toe closest to the cut seems to be sitting alot flatter then the others. i know it is difficult to say what she has done without seeing the bitch but has anyone any idea what damage she could of done on the details given? and what woulod be the best action to take?

    i agree with gaz on thsi one, i had a saluki greyxbull grey and see was 100 percent on stock. she had her first roe at about 20 month and after that she went completly tits up on sheep and i had to get rid. still the fastest lurcher iv had to date so it left a bitter taste with me!

    alright mate yeah just let her watch to start with then let her chase 4. only one got away an thats because it took to some rough shrubs. she also semi retrieved them all. she is fully used tio the ferrets now an dosnt even bother about them

    Fist time out ferreting. She is still young really but just wanted to show her teh crack and let her chase a few struggling rabbits in the deep snow
