Hi looking for a garmin dog tracker, anyone know what amodel to go for and where are they cheapest to buy? thanks
-
Each to their own i suppose decker but when you only get a chance at a quick shot theres a lot to be said for being able to aim at his nose and the bullet connects with his neck at 270 yards!no mil dots/rangefinder/ arsing around. shoots very flat, you know if you aim high up on a fox thats out a goodway 300 and farther that the bullet is still going to make contact with the animal! Ive heard the .204 shoots similar!

Stop, ive 300 spent cartridges, would give me something to do on the off season although i dont know if i'd have the patience for it! Even just the prices they charge in the States, Impoters must be making €/£ 10+ per box on cetrefire ammo like the swift! Thought they were cheaper than that in the UK though!

I use federal 52grain hollow point and Picked up an odd few boxes of for €30 each in january that a dealer had lying around and 1 on saturday for €35! have remmy soft point here locally at €40 a box but its crap! Looking to buy a bit in bulk if i can ger it at good money! Quoted €370 in dublin for a case! Think ill just try and gather up any spare boxes RFD's have in there stores than pay that! What do you think of the hornady Fat MAn??

Just wondering what kind of £'s people are paying for factory .220 swift ammunition?

Hey i got it sorted i offset the lamp and after a lot of arsing i finally could see the area 150 yards in front of me perfectly through the scope! it was lucky i had difficulty with lamp because when removed the neoprone cover i found a good bit of rust had formed on the moderator, So the covers getting the bin and the mod got a half can of wd-40! thanks for all the help, im finally set uo for a weekend of foxing thanks!!! -

Seconded, works well. Odd that some scopes suffer this and others don't though... I have a cover on it. perhaps the cammo psttern is a little bright in colour, will try off-setting the lamp like ILDTB said and hopefully it will do the trick. thanks lads -

Do you mean like pulling it down a bit to 1 side of the scope? thanks for the reply -
Hi. I recently bought a scope-mounted sl170 lamp for foxing! I have it mounted on a bushnell dawn and dusk 6-18X50 scope, and the rifle is a ruger m77 in .220 swift with a t8 moderator with one of those camoflage cover on it! When i look through the scope all i can see is yellow light and cant make out the field in front of me no matter how much i adjust the lamp. John Galway said there is light reflecting back into the scope probably off the moderator! |Has anyone had similar problems??!! any suggestions or advice would be a big help
