If I don't eat them the ferrets do and any spare I sell to a butcher for £2.50 each skinned and gutted. Anything I catch I eat, and also am starting to pelt the furs and going to make dummys for the working dogs at college. All the best, JoeD

Ok as the title reads I want to get an MK3 locator with 3 collars if possible. I don't like using ebay as its full of con men and would like to know where people have brought theres from at a reasonable price. All the best, JoeD

Not sure about that but I know some ferret owners do get it done. I don't but the college ferrets do and someone near me who has pet ferrets does to. JoeD

This time of year (mid september) is usually when they are good for picking. Best let them fall off the trees before hand.....well thats what I have always been told. Store them in there shells if you are not eating them straight away. All the best. JoeD

I wear my camo combats all the time, just because I like them and they have lots of pockets are comfortable to wear and dry out quickly. JoeD -

My mum don't want any firearms in the house, which I fully respect. But I am just wondering before I apply for my FAC or SGC, is if there is anywhere else that I can legally keep them that the firearms officer will be happy with, i.e gun clubs or something. Thanks JoeD

Ok not hunting related and might get a bit of stick for doing this course but I don't care. But I got my 1st year animal care course level 2 certificates today. I got 4 passes which is the equivelant to C/D grade, 9 merits which is the equivelent to a B, and 4 Distinctions which is the equivelent to an A. I am well chuffed at those and thought I might share. You can get a jab for Canine Distemper but a lot of ferret owners don't. Hope this helped. JoeD

unfortunately not Actually you can still technically get hung even though in todays world it will never happen again in this country. But there is still a death penalty for treason. JoeD

I quite often get people walking past asking what I am doing and some understand while others don't. But if theres any trouble I just ring up the land owner and get on with my business. No point in getting aggitated over it because you are doing it all legally and respectfully. Many people have mixed feelings about ferreting and so you will get the odd person having a go at you, but just try to shrug it off. JoeD
