Like people said they started out with a good idea, then they turned anti hunting, anti everything and then people find out that nearly all donations given to them go to there highly paid officers (which have no actual powers) and hardly any go towards the animals that they are meant to be helping, also they put more animals down than they rehome which is never good for a animal charity. 2. If my ferrets could crew through chicken wire I wouldnt be surprised if they also donned big red capes and flew around saving the world every night after I'd gone to bed. BS mate Either we breed tougher ferrets down here mate, either that or you know jack shit about what ferrets are capable of! FT Mine have chewed through chicken wire and other wire that is slightly thicker than chicken wire, weld mesh now and so far no break outs. JoeD
  3. Rabbit when I can, and they always have a bowl of ferret biscuits so they can pick and choose when they want to eat. JoeD

  5. Soak it in Cider and then Roast it till cooked, have it with seasonal veg and you cant go worng :-) JoeD
  6. I find aslong as you push the bottom ring into the ground then the net will work, I ferret alone and with the technique that ferretville uses you can net up any warren quite quickly. And I think it has proved it works with the pics JoeD
  7. No used cider yeast though and bottled the cider today, 40 pints and had a sneak preview and tastes absolutely lovely. JoeD
  8. Danny Dyer.....irritating git
  9. Yeah they will be big enough if not you get as many as you need and join them up. If I get some I will post pictures up to show you how I mean. JoeD
  10. Them twins from X factor :realmad: just hearing about them sets me off lol. JoeD
  11. I wouldn't as rats are prone to carrying many diseases, but I suppose each to there own. I only feed ferrets what I would eat myself. JoeD
  12. No you could just tell that these wern't used anyone who saw them would realise they would be a) nothing there and b)waste of time getting through the over grown stuff around the barn. I also don't really like putting ferrets under foundations as there could be loose stones or sharp objects in the warren, so I only do buildings if I have been asked personally. JoeD
  13. Ok I know it's a big ask but I might aswell try, I am just wondering if there is anyone on here with some deer tendons that I could possibly have for a project I am doing, which is making an old style bow for my friend who is an archery enthusiast. Thanks for any replies, JoeD Also if anyone has antler then I will put that to good use for making a new catty.
  14. Just got a phonecall from the 1st land owner who wanted to know how many we got, I told him the truth and he said he doesn't want us back, he didn't sound happy but in all honesty it is a crap bit of permission, and we done our best and if he can't see that then stuff him. JoeD
  15. buckets and plastic flowerpots, mine used to have a small football aswell. JoeD
  16. your more than welcome mate,it was nice to meet you, okay not very productive this time but hey thats ferreting at times, like i said mate we can hit them golf courses soon, you get more action up there than you can handle at times so got to be spot on with our kit,oh and talking of kit did i mention you might need to invest in a new spade only joking mate atvb rob Not my fault you brought a rotten spade is it No but I would love to hit the golf courses. And any time you want a trip out then drop me a line or give me a ring. JoeD
  17. Oh I have had plenty of days like it where I get an average of 0-1  but it's just fun to be out and about. JoeD
  18. Went ferreting today with a new face, watchman off of here. He is a top bloke and good laugh. Anyway we met at 7am and went on to crack at this "over run garden" which was supposed to be filled with rabbits, anyway there was a warren under the shed and we netted it up and we had 1 rabbit that didn't hit any nets and just ran off never to be seen again. And that was that for that small warren after running the ferrets through it 4 or 5 times with nothing coming out or no noise what so ever. We looked at the other warren under a barn and well we decided it's nto worth doing. So we moved
  19. I leave mine in there fore 2-3 days max or as soon as it starts to look or smell like it's going off.
  20. Good result mate, Got any pictures? JoeD
  21. I go alone most of the time, all I would say is be confident but don't be stupid. Make sure you net up all the holes, once you have checked once, check again, and then once more to be sure. And don't work any warrens that you aren't comfortable doing alone, just tell whoever gave the permission 1st and that way more than likely he will respect you more for being honest. Have fun out ferreting mate, JoeD
