  5. everyone for your comments, we had great time with nice people and some decent weather for a change what more could you want . Thanks for the invite Amanda & Scott :friends: .
  6. Pointer and myself had another ride out to see Amanda and Scott this morning. Took a bit to find their new house but we got there in the end . We arrived at the pig farm at around 11.00 a.m. and went straight into the pig shed. There was three adult terriers and a pup. Scott managed to flush a couple of rats out from under the pens with the power washer but two very wet rats decided there weren’t going to budge no matter how much flushing and prodding they got . We then decided to try the smoker around the side of the pig shed and after some digging a few more rats were had. The p

  8. Some brilliant action shots and two cracking looking Plummers . Can't beat a bit of ratting to get the heart pumping .
  9. Do you like Red a bit Shinyspade? :11: :11: Yeah, I suppose he's not bad :11: :11: .
  10. Yes they didn't turn out bad considering that is the first time I have used that camera :11: . Great to meet you to, really enjoyed it . Glad we found you considering the route planner missed a roundabout out of the directions . The pup is a little belter, I'm sure he will come on great .
  11. Went for a look this morning to meet member Manda and her husband Scott, we arrived at around 10.30 and were met by a really nice welcoming couple . After introductions we were off in the car to a pig farm where we were met by one of their friends. There was five adult terriers and Manda’s new pup. The smoker and shovels were used for the first section. The pup was allowed to rag on a few to get a feel for it which he soon got the hang of . After getting a couple more from under the pig sheds by being flushed out b
  12. Had a trip to a local farm last night, arrived at around 9.45 p.m. We let the dogs out (Nipper & Red) but there didn’t seem to be many rats around, well not that the dogs could get at, anyway there has been some pallets that me & Pointer have been wanting to shift for a while but they have always had too much heavy gear on them but not last night . A couple of bags of feed were swiftly moved then we lifted pallet by pallet off and placed them on the floor, five or six pallets later and we reached the bottom where there was a few rats. One managed to escape but the dogs weren’t
  13. Not the best pics but was taken at night with a camera phone and measured the wrong way round  .
  14. Decided to have a quick trip ratting on Friday night, it was a last minute decision so we didn’t arrive until 10.15 p.m. We took Fudge (Plummer), Nipper (Plummer) and Red (Plummer Nuttall). Again the rats were climbing up the walls and around the roof, impossible for the dogs to get. Pointer managed to roll over a gate which I missed so couldn’t laugh but put his back out so is now constantly moaning :realmad: . The dogs managed these few . We had an hour out yesterday in the daylight with Red and Nipper, plenty of holes, the dogs were marking but nothing bolting with th
  15. You are old Pointer, you should just leave the ratting to me, I mean you being blind and deaf doesn't really help me or the dogs As for using your energy for something else at that time of night, how about you stay in and nitt and I'll go ratting. Less energetic for you .
  16. Decided to go for a mid week mooch to a farm to check if there was any rats around, we took Nipper (plummer), Red (plummer nuttall) and Tess (lurcher). On arriving at around 9 p.m. we had a look around and saw a couple about, one escaped in the first barn by managing to get up a pipe that we couldn’t get anything into so we move around the farm and entered the byre, both terriers went belting down the byre and straight out of the hole in the bottom door towards the slurry pit  . Pointer went around to see where they had gone and I stayed in the byre with Tess, I decided to slowly w
  17. Brilliant Lacey you don't half get some hauls of rats .
  18. Well done for getting the young ones out . Take my nephew out now and again ratting, he's 8 and loves it as well . Some decent sized rats there too, good job .
  19. No, I would say CREATED is the word, afterall I did get my first terrier off him Thought you were moving up the kennels with your dogs as you spend more time with them anyway :11: .
  20. You could have tidied the rats up a bit for the photo shoot .
  21. :11: :11: :11: :11: Blimey you remembered when my birthday is , I'll hold you to that :11: .
  22. Well I was quite surprised when Pointer asked me if I wanted to go out for a couple of drinks as we don’t normally do anything, little did I know what he meant . It was approaching 8.45 p.m. and Pointer says come on grab your wellies, lamp, dogs and a couple of bottles of Budweiser, it’s time to go. So off we went in the pick up to the farm for a spot of Valentines ratting, we took Fudge (Plummer), Nipper (Plummer) and Red (Plummer Nuttall) . As it hasn't been as cold we thought there might be a few more around, the temperature was around 4c when we arrived at around 9 p.m. We
  23. Well, decided to go back to the farm tonight after last nights catch to see if we could get a few more while the rats are still unsettled. After nearly losing my wellie and getting almost stuck in the slurry we managed these few . Pointer managed to shoot a few more but no bodies could be recovered .
