  1. Thanks guys ? Steamingutpiles are you talking about the terrier in the first pic?
  2. Thanks for the comments. Yes cleanspade that is a pup out of red.
  3. Meant to post these sooner just a couple of ratting trips over the past few months. This day was a bit hard to cover every corner with just Pointer & I there so a few got away. Didn’t have time for pics but not bad for an hour session. EOD Took a couple of newbies to ratting on this trip (my brothers girlfriend & her 16 year old sister), they have never been ratting before and enjoyed it so much they can’t wait for next time. This is the only action pic I managed to get though, lol. EOD
  4. Thanks Daz , I'm fairly new to shooting so it's good target practice for me :11: . Had a ride out last night & managed another 20 but could get them back as they were on the slurry pit  . Pic of a few we managed to get out of the walls , too wet to put my gun down for the pic though :11: .
  5. Went for a ride out to a local farm for an hours ratting with Pointer. He took his dogs and I took my air rifle. I managed to shoot about 20 but could only get the bodies back in the pic as they dropped down the cavities of the stone walls. The half rat is one the farm dog got hold of when I shot it and it fell off a rafter right next to her and she must have decided it was tasty.
  6. Some cracking pics lads :clapper: , FPMSL  , keep it up .
  7. FPMSL   some cracking replies :11: .
  8. Thanks Dave, I can't remember taking half of them :11: . My nephew loves ratting, he sometimes chases them around the pig pens with his stick :11: .
  9. Thanks for the comments guys :11: :11: CarraghsGem. Which big dog do you mean banjorabbiter?
  10. everyone for the comments, it was a cracking couple of hours except for the slurry pit scare , the dogs will be on leaders from now on going around that bit :11: .
  11. Returned today to the farm I went to last week with the smoker this time, unfortunately our usual friends had other commitments & were unable to come, not the same without you two :friends: . We started outside with the smoker but only a few bolted . The two pensioners & best buddies working together . Bramble bushes are growing fast. The young one Ozzy getting stuck in, finding his very own rat :clapping: . Only to bolt straight into Fudges mouth :11: . The next spot was a new place the farmer pointed out so in went the smoker, a few minut
  12. Thanks oyama, better than him sitting in the house any day . Jealous much Pointer :11: .
  13. for the comments folks. :11: :11: that dog is more Plummer than anything with a dash of Nuttall .
  14. Had a ride out this morning to meet up with friends for a bit of ratting. My partner Pointer is away UNLUCKY :11: so I had a newbie to day time ratting and my experienced 10 year old nephew as helpers. We only did inside the buildings so not a great number but not bad for just under an hour. A return visit soon with the smoker to do outside is in order . Unfortunately the camera managed to stay in my pocket again so only EOD shot .
  15. I come on here for pure entertainment most of the posts are fecking hilarious , I shake my head in disbelief at some of them but laugh more than anything . I can put a post up about a good days ratting and get a few comments and someone else puts a post up about a new pup and it gets 10+ pages :11: , I couldn’t really give a shit  , it’s the internet not real life but to some it is there hunting life  .
  16. Prison is not punishment and rehabilitation doesn’t work . Crime pays for thieving tw*ts . A good smacking is affective , you obviously didn’t hit him hard enough though . And some need to read the post again, ftm never said he kicked him while he were down and the lad is in his mid 20’s not a child, I would do exactly the same in that situation, good on you :good: .
  17. Same as above that has already been said , over the summer back to basics, training, lots of play and walking, get the dog fit, build up the bond, lots more training, spending time with him, etc. Once you think that is all in order take the dog out with people that have experienced dogs, hold him back a bit and show him what you want him to do and when you know the time is right let him go .
  18. :notworthy: that's excellent Moll, I think it's great they all get along , cat, dogs, hen, what else do you have in there :11: .
  19. :good: :good: :good: :good: Everything as stated above, make it as hard as possible, too many dogs getting nicked these days .
  20. I have a Mitsubishi L200 warrior & have been with sureterm direct a few years ago but found Adrian Flux is the cheapest, they specialise in young people with high performance cars & 4x4 vehicles.
  21. Yes they can eat it but as stated the salt content is high . I used to give mine a bit of rind now & again as a treat. If you do feed them any & it’s cooked make sure you chop it all up especially the rind as it can be hard for them to chew .
  22. I've cross posted the FB link to other forums I am a member of to widen the search for people that don't frequent THL .
  23. Good job Calli . Come on everyone, get this page added to your Facebook accounts & send it to all of your friends to pass on .
  24. that sounds a good idea .i aint the best with a computer i will get one of the family to do this .the more pressure we put on these thieves the better .they cant do anything with these dogs as they are red hot now and known to be stolen by thousands of people . we do have an idea we just need a little more info .just just makes your blood boil when scratters can sneak around your property early hours and steal your dogs .especially a ten yr old bitch full of arthritis and a pet to a 6yr old girl .hopefully theyre pictures will be in the cmw this wednesday It's a tool there to be used &am
