they certainly wouldnt have been walking in to a show ring with them lol all though one eyed sally that my brother bred and her litter mates were fairly tidy we used a boder dog harry the dog had that killed a few foxes on our kids boder bitch that had no papers but was a goodun and hey presto all of a sudden they had oxcroft breeding we never new where that came from but we wernt realy interested we just worked our terriers ATB Phil

all the kc papers were false , ray never registed any borders with the kc I didn't want to come straight out with it and burst someone's bubbleATB Phil its better to know the truth ,theres one or two on here who think there carrying on were ray left off,the dogs from the original line would have frightened them to death ,they more interested in the name than the dogs.

I dug two or three times a week with when ray had simmy and Albert Radcliffe had Danny i never new them to be kc reg we had some good digging borders that we dug a lot off stuff with ray bought a bitch little one eyed sally killed foxes and dug to her on many occasions ray took some pups from them i think they were a bit too hard for there size ATB Phil

have u any pics of dam and sire and do they work thank u the sire is very smart what way is he bred names and such please the black and tan is out of the black bitch on my thred they are loosely based on Middleton dogs i had a long time ago they go back to Stuart Sims rocky allats young rocky Dave roberts rip Garry middletons Zeb the sire of the dog is a middleton bred dog my mate bought out of wales a few years back he gave a grand for it it is also the sire of the red bitch and has the old lines and is a tidy terrier I think there is parks bingo in there as well through Alan

That's true but other stuff has been added by people who have got them over the years so they are based on the line the black ones i get come through Alan brookbanks old black bitch which was mated to Dave Roberts rip he got 3 i think colored bitches from this mating a red and white and i think black and white these are where the white came from in my old terriers and they were good ones its easy to say this is no good and thats no good a lot of dogs are ruined by the owners and never get a chance and there again its an impossible task to breed every thing thats good to great thats not how it

Hi lads not my original post wrote another the terrier in the avatar is a bitch the dam is the black terrier and is by the same dog as the black and tan on the lead have the lurchers see much action ATB Phil

Hi we will try again i have had working terriers for a long time there is an old saying that i try to stick to the best is only just good enough so for me its the best or the best i can afford wethe it be dogs birds hawks or horses since a child both me and my brother could not be kept out of the fields and woods with ferrets and lurchers and terriers in my twenties and thirties i was digging mad and any terrier i had to be exceedingly game anything showing the white feather was not tolerated the terriers i have today are bred down fro the dogs i had then using tidy dogs on my old bitches that

Hi Betty unfortunately i found some of the old fell terriers especially the middleton ones suffer this condition selective hearing and its unlikely to improve put it on a lead ATB Phil

It may be bred from some of the white lake lands some of the lakis were smooth coated and i mean the black &tans as well as the white ones i have tow dog pups there is a pic on my post one smooth one slightly broken coated the other were rough coated so it may be that a lot of johnny park dogs were smooth coated ATB Phil

I never heard anyone call parks dogs patter-dales before mind you when we were all digging there were fell terriers boderxlakelands borders and russell's then for some reason probably money some one started calling black terriers patter-dales it never was unusual to get black & tan red red grizzles blacks blue & tan and the occasional white all in the same litter parks dogs were generally red but he got black and tan pups as well my own litters today still give all these colors now and again ATB Phil

It is true some dogs prefer to work different types of ground however the terriers i have work well anywhere but it is personal preference there is no good terrier a bad color or breed ATB Phil
