  1. Once you try a fx2000 or one of its variants they are something else, real classy and mega accurate. On fac they are amazing.
  2. I like the sound of that He isnt expensive either and he takes your full gun and posts back.
  3. There's also a guy (shauny on bbs) will fit a delrin bearing to the 99 piston and do the full works internally. Makes them amazing apparently.
  4. Do it yourself. Stripping a 99 is so easy. Give everything a good polish and fit a wonky donky drop in kit - a satisfying little project for you and the best 45 quid you will ever spend on your 99! Pm me if you need contact details to buy one of his kits if you need.
  5. Rws excalibure and whitetail classic scope....
  6. Simelar. Excalibure has a different stock and mag. Fx2000 has an air guage and excalibure doesn't.
  7. That's exactly what my gun smith said. If it where sub 12 it wouldent last a week in the shop at double the price.
  8. Amazing guns I had my eye it that too big napper lol. If anyone's after an fac excalibure I have one for sale. Looks a good outing you had there the gun looks stunning!
  9. I really like that gun! Something about it. How's its shooting performance?
  10. I bet, My mate who got me started has found groats and gold rings! But just to find a coin that can be seen for what it is made the day, or even month! Can't wait to go again.
  11. Threepenny bit I remember them well lol. When you unearth a coin whether gold, silver or anything predecimal or current! Still gives me one hell of a buzz! ATBIts all new to me but it's exiting! Found a few coins but I couldent see what they where as they where a bit too far gone apart from a really good condition half penny. Tried to clean them off gently in the past but the markings come off. I took my dad he wasn't very enthusiastic but when he tried it he loved it! We where like 2 kids bug hunting lol.
  12. Found this today had half an hour with the detector..... Probably nothing exiting but thaught I'd share it's dated 1954 and one of my first few coin finds.
  13. I was speaking to a farmer a few years ago while on a farm subsidy course and he dug 3 small wildlife ponds, they where only small tho. Within 3 years tiny perch where in 2 of them. He said their eggs where carried by water birds from a nearby gravel pit and perch eggs are quite tough and survive the journey better?
  14. Looking good! I think black - in keeping with its classic look. That straight hand stock looks great, 1st iv seen on an airgun.
  15. That's a dream come true bet your very happy! The fish got in there themselves? How did that happen? Could they have been transfered by birds having eggs stuck to them?
  16. Wow! So they live in damp places? And not in a pond?
  17. Sounds a great night - Lovely looking guns too!
  18. Had a hour with it on an indoor range. Wow just amazing. A year ago I'd have slapped me round the face for buying a tactical styled gun like this! It's phenomenal. It loves air arms field closely followed by falcon accuracy plus. Here's 4 mags at 35 meters.... Works manic but ill try make time to take it in the field soon. I'd reccomend the hw110 it's really changed my perspective. Think I'm even gonna let my fac for my airgun lapse. 120 shots per fill I can forget about my air hungry excalibure and just take this and forget about refilling.
  19. They are a bargain. After much faffing about I found a longer spring with less washers was a lot better. Your inspiring me to mess with another gun now lol.
  20. Once I was sizing a vorteck seal and buggered it. It diddnt take much to over do it!
  21. What a gent nick is. Been very helpful to me in the past too. Them kits are great arnt they!
  22. Oooo! Nice kit. Would like to see some piccys of your project!
  23. Thanks for your info Feltwad. I looked into that too but wanted to stick to propper black powder.
  24. I'm not going to argue with them, not worth it. I'll just buy them in future.
