Iv had both and currently have a 100. I loved my 110 and find it very difficult to pick a faveroute, but I think I prefer the 110. Extra shot count, very quiet, very compact and the ruberised stock grew on me. If I was you I'd go to redbecks gun shop and look at, handle and shoot both, it's a tough choice to make!.

A bit off topic but I taught I'd mention it anyway - iv caught loads of flounder from the wharfe at Tadcaster!

Very nice where on the aire do you fish?
-
Great fun arnt they - Its suprising how quiet they are even with 3 inch magnums. Wish you all the best with it!

Thats a cheap way to see if hushpower shotguns are for you. If you want to sell if you dont like it they hold their value well too.

I saw this interesting video of fac .177 a while back and this is only 25 ft lbs.

Thank you Rimfireboy boy I'll get some next time I need cartridges.

I was hoping with them been a heavier load they might be a bit slower. But if not never mind! I'll try some of them hi-flyers think you for that.

Hi str iv had a couple of hushpower .410,'s too and as rime fire boy says - they are very quiet. I treated mine as 25 yard guns. Even with 3 inch magnums the noise sounds like and is as loud as a hammer hitting a chisel. I have a black synthetic 20 bore pump hushpower now its has become my go to gun (and only shotgun at the moment) the single barrel baikal .410 is very limiting as in range and obviously shot capacity and I got frustrated. The mossberg pump has 3 shots and is still quiet. I'd also choose the 20 over the .410 as I bet you will soon want a 20 bore version. Hi rimefireboy! I

Nice shooting and good food there too. Looks like you have gelled well with your new gun!

There's a commercial carp fishery nearby and I asked the owner when they drain down and net do you ever find eels?, always find a few he said - and they have never been stocked. The river aire runs nearby 100s of meters away. And I asked that a few years ago before the EA fitted all the aire fish passes. It's amazing how they get themselves about! This is an interesting watch if your interested in eel fishing....... https://youtu.be/4oBXgD433fQ https://youtu.be/37WmdXTo56o

Hi, Iv had trouble with my Internet connection been incredibly slow so Iv not seen this thread from the beginning until today. Have you managed to get yourself out after eels yet? Go give it a try - they make it through most river systems. Even the aire in leeds near me has quite a few in it even with all the barriers it had on it.

That's how I hook my prawns too, and also when using small dead baits (I found gudgeon best) I put them on a hard surface and stand on them slightly as well as hooking like that. Prawn baits have been amazing on the 2 north yorkshire venues i fish and well outfish deads. Iv been putting the dropped runs down to feeling a bit of resistance but the 1st couple of hours their guard is down a bit? On one of the ponds I used to fish in Leeds they just took either baits with screaming runs and no fuss, until a many of them where knocked on the head by complete idiots and now it's not worth targeting

The buggers drive me mad that's so right! I do that too. I found often there's no second run tho after the a couple of hours of darkness? I get twitchy runs mainly drop backs and then I Spend a lot of my time outide the bivvy waiting for the second run through the later hours of the night. The first couple of hours of darkness seem to get a better hook up's for some reason?! I'd love to know why! Very interesting to fish for and the mystery of them is half the fun. The stonfo discorger has been a godsend with easy hook removal with line cutting been only occasional since getting one.

Iv done that regularly over the last 2 years and enthusiasm takes over and I go out for a wander and come back a different person with renewed outlook and bounce back stronger for a bit. It's a strange cycle! And keep your faveroute permission it's funny how much you care about it and what's going on on it there even just farming wise deep Down without even realising. I hope your issue is sorted soon. All the very best, Tom.

Hey think twice about calling it a day. Iv had a few serious issues lately and rehomed my ferrets and let most of my perms and guns go. Keep a gun and your faveroute perm. Stay strong and keep busy. You need them to clear your head if anything else. I send my best wishes.

Nice mixed bag there mark. -
The odd one does accidentally fall into my pan lol.

I fish for eels a lot! iv been targeting them in 2 north Yorkshire lakes for the last few years and the bait to use is raw king prawn. A carefully hooked full big king prawn on a size ten on a running rig is the best way iv found. Bites are usually dropbacks. Iv found open areas of the lakes more successful than the margins. Light running leads, light bobbins and delkims on full sensitivity are the Way to go. The first 2 hours of darkness seem to be the best and then nothing afterwards in my experience. Try it - the praw king prawn seems to single them out - I often get asked what iv caught on

I will have to have a go of one of these one day, im looking to get another classic soon. when i was a kid I remember a friend of mines dad throwing one of these into a skip for punishment after my mate had caused mischief with it on the local wasteland ? What a shame!

Have you tried ringing a few gun shops around your area? I often see second hand safes in my local rfd's and seen some bargain's.

That is one amazing set up ? -
I had my defender 4 and a half years, and spent as much time underneith it as I did driving it, it drove me mad but God I loved it. With hardly any spare time, I had to part with it to allow myself hobby time. All I have left of it is happy memories, a damaged bank account, oiled stained driveway and a broken heart lol.

That's ace I fished for well over 20 years and only managed 1 on rod and line from the aire last year on a worm at night on a size 10 hook of all things too. The bullhead and stone loach can turn a grown man into been a boy again turning rocks over, trying to catch them by hand and getting soaked shoes everytime you see running water. Nice catch!
