thanks for that, i think im going to join in a few weeks, do they allow any rabbit shooting with them aswell or is it pigeon shooting only?. my permissions have been a bit quiet lately so thaught it would be a handy back up. thanks v much.

i got a 4 piec ghillie suit, its a jacket, hood, trouses and a gun cover that packs into a stuff sack, well happy! nothing will see me now! -
i saw a recepie for coca cola chops, it was half a cup of coke, half a cup of tomatoe sauce, salt, pepper to taste, sprinkling of garlic and sugar to taste. this was over 4 big chops. gravy left behind was for the chips / wedges roasted for an hour slowly was nice!

it would be good to have a sign to print off (in foreighn languages) and people could laminate them and put them up at their local fishing spots where they have been seen them taking fish, and/or where no signs have allready been put up

thanks for replies, i have seen a few of them fishing at bramley marina before. The canal is frozen over and covered in snow at the moment so i cant do the lamp trick yet but will have a go when it thaws out.

i once saw a pale looking girl walk into a shed and vanish at tethers end animal sanctury in leeds (weetwood) i was 15 years old and very upset and cried! i told the owner (norma clutterbuck) and she said that 4 people said that in the last 25 years and the local census recorded a girl died in the garden during an accident with a horse drawn carridge and the date was v near the aniversary (spooky and honest!!!!!)

abserlutely big respect to you for what you have achived!, my new years res is to get a grip and get some confidents and go door nocking for some more permission. very scarey had lots of knockbacks! some doors closed in my face without so much as a no thanks, cheeky swines

a few years ago (i was about 12-13) my dad got a pretty dog (collie x greyhound was bueatifull), and the breeder said the longer the tail the faster he (jack) was at chasing a rabbit due to counterbalance he had with his long tail on corners (it was very long, longer than its body!). he was stole a year after we got him (travelers where going through, but no fingers pointed!) is the longer the tail the faster cornering dog theory true? i bet he would have been a abserlutely fantastic dog from what i saw from him! he had no training at all!!! and he chased and caught rabbits naturally! sometime

superb! i used to do the same thing with freezer bag ties too, my mum got them in foodbag packs for my sandwiches at school when i was younger and they stayed put on the fence for months. had loads of rabbits snaring the "one gap" with no evidence of runs in the grazed fields. i wasnt allowed a gun on there and the farmer thaught i was a wiredo until i showed him and then he trusted me to shoot with an air rifle (i was 14 then) it started from there! (until he sold up!) -
iv just made 3x 1 litre bottles of sloe gin. i read that you have to leave them for at least 3 months, could i drink one sooner or would it not be right untill then? cheers.

i baught a hunting with hawks dvd off ebay a while back, was amazing. would love to get a hawk but i dont have the time to care for one properly. when im older and have more spare time i wlii be getting one! the most interesting thing iv seen

i lure fish leeds and liverpool canal in kirkstall / bramley / rodley and have noticed a huge drop in catches since 2002 onwards, i always use a unhooking mat and careful and fast release, and fish for them only in winter even when parts where frozen. i used to catch around 4 - 7 a session and now rarely catch any? other local people noticed too does anyone have a clue why this is?

i used to hve a aa tx200 hc great gun i p/x ,ed it and regtetted it straight away! its great to hear of such respect for your quarry, a few people i know dont care and would shoot anyway.

hi big bull for my first shotgun i got a baikal o/u 12 it was cheap (only £100 s/h from a shop). it shoots very well and has a nice moose/elk? and hare engraving. despite rough treatment and rain it is still like new. i love this gun but some people look down at them because of their cheapness and/or sturdy appearence but i think their great!, i will upgrade when funds allow but for now im happy with it and would recomend one to anyone on a budget or a first gun.

hi everyone, it might sound a stupid question to you but do yellow purse nets make any difference in visibility to rabbits than green ones? im new to ferreting this year so am curious and me and my mate have been wondering

hi all i am thinking of applying for an fac air rifle, are they hard to get? i allready have my shotgun cert but hear that fac is more difficult to get?, is it any harder than shotgun cert for an fac air rifle? cheers for any replies in advance!
