  1. been looking on ebay for an hour for a 4x4 with the girl fiend and she walked back in and this was on the laptop screen should have seen her face ha ha ha
  2. well done first of many no doubt, i think it looks about 7 - 8lb what did u catch it on?
  3. nice piece of woodwork! them FN19,s are great i got mine a few months ago and it got me back into airgunning after a 7 year break after switching to shotguns, forgot what i was missing! looks great with a nice grain to the stock atb tom.
  4. iv not used a bipod on a tx but used to use a hw97k with a dragon claw bipod attached to the underlever it was one of these: My link i had to file about a mil off the top of the clamp so the underlever could close but to be honest the poi changed when i put it on and took it off and the groups where not as tight with the bipod on so i wouldn't use it to be honest. the bipod was quality and solid tho
  5. great shooting and great read as usual also sounds like a nice little bit of permission
  6. i lay mine in a u shape and facing the wind, keep an eye out for a flight line and get under it if you can. cover hands and face tho as they have amazing eyes that can spot skin a mile off!
  7. i had one of these really nice guns to use, i stuck a hushpower mod on my old one was great for ferreting. wish i never sold it edited to add if u add a hushpower 9" mod block the target with the mod
  8. falcons are great matey (imo) i use a fn19 and its light, accurate, high shot count and simple and easy to diy fix if something was to happen, mines still got original seals with no leaks . there also cheap too. the customer service from falcon even for these old guns is spot on. if u fit a detwanger and a good mod are near silent too (not got round to putting mine in yet tho) atb with it.
  9. a interesting trip by the sounds of it, nice fish too. fair play for sticking to it with the weather!
  10. found it My link brought back some memories
  11. i remember 14 years ago (i was 12 when i had it if i remember right) i bought an air rifle called a b45? - 12 shot finger indexing rotary mag pumped it 7 times and ready to go, had it years. i had it checked at 11 + and was accurate to an inch out to 35 yards with accupells. i had clean kills with this to 30 yards but never tried beyond but sure it could have. it cost me £65 with a 4X20 scope from a gun shop. this was the start for me but always checked power and accuracy before pushing the distance
  12. sounds like a great permission, good shooting
  13. my whippet is now 11 months now not caught any rabbits yet but had some storming runs. she looks down the light and retrieves dummies to hand I'm pleased with her progress so far.
  14. my FN19 .22 single shot hawke night eye 3-9x50 ir mill dot, weihrauch mod, bipod. basic but a pleasure to shoot!
  15. with your budget id look at any weihrauch springer, or if your after a pcp a falcon fn19 is within your budget with a second hand pump. i use a fn19 and their cheap, reliable and very accurate!
  16. i use these ccc3 their cheap enough and 10m cover with a certificate to show landowners
  17. i ordered the same zini recomended bipod when i read this thread, and it arrives a few days ago and i am well impressed for the price but did have the same worry as you, i thaught about putting a stiffer ring in place of the weak split ring on the front of the bolt arm instead as the bolt looks long and the strap looks like it will turn with the strap touching it when walking a long distance
  18. looks great, i must admit I'm tempted by this plastikote stuff myself.
  19. thanks for that ill remember that stuff for a future stock change
  20. looks nice that is this quite scratch resistant, and does it have a plastic feel to it? atb tom.
  21. my first gun was a £100 o/u 12 bore baikal and cant fault them - cheap, indistructable and reliable.
  22. shotguns my favorites i own, but the Baikal airguns iv seen aren't up to hunting standards. but iv not seen them all.
  23. congratulations and good luck, nowt more exiting that checking out new permission
