  9. Hi guys i have 2 dogs but wont leave them out (had a dog stolen before and not going through that again) they would proberbly dissapear over the fence if they saw them too. I tried a american eagle owl decoy but the dogs went mad at that too lol.
  10. Does anyone know of any good ways to deter cats from round a chicken coop? Several of the neighbours cats keep harrasing them through the runs mesh and my chickens are carrying on alarming making a racket and a couple are loosing there feathers while throwing themselvs at the mesh. This is happening while I am at work so I cant scare them away. Any ideas anyone?
  11. Nowt wrong with bagging a few from now on, my perm has loads and the farmer wants them thinning out. as long as they are eaten then i cannot see a problem when its the time of year they are not suckling. nice shooting by the way but remember you shouldent shoot them on a sunday. atb tomb.
  12. what about running a strip of copper all round the kennel + run, would that stop them getting in the 1st place .?? hi bird i would think so, my dogs live inside at night so iv not tried that. my dog bowl was getting slugs on it while out at work on alternating shifts.
  13. On my vit i have 195 75 15 marix puma they been on nearly 2 years with hardly any wear. they grip into bogs and hills no problem and where the cheapest off road tyre i could find by far. i tried bigger wheels and tyres but just had problems so would recomend theese, when they finally wear out ill deffinately get another set. sory tried to put a link in but im in my phone. atb tom.
  14. Get some copper tape from ebay and put a strip round the bowl, slugs wont touch copper. done this myself and never had that problem again.
  15. An RWS ecalibure is also a great fac airgun as they have large air capacity and a 7 shot mag. Im getting 35 shots at 27 fpe. Its a very light gun and enough shots for a days hunting. Accuracy on them is great too.
  16. Had a new one sent from falcon a couple if years ago it was £25 if i remember rightly and had to be sent to an rfd - Quite odd as its just a metal tube.
  17. It was same for me with my whippet, when she was 18-19 month old she changed - she now bounces on her back legs on the slip when she can see a rabbit. its only a pup let it be one!
  18. Once at a car boot sale when i was a child i baught a fake deer head on a plaque with a baromiter built in underneith it, i then hung it proudly at the top of the stairs. i told my mates about it and braught a couple of them round to show them it (i was 11 at the time) when we walked in i shut the front door and it fell of the wall and bounced all the way down the stairs and smashed to picies and landed at our feet, They p!ssed theirselvs but i was gutted lol!
  19. They are not a bad little tool, iv had 2 now (9inch mod one and a full lentgh baikal stelth) had no problems with either of them - baikals are solid reliable guns anyway. They are quiet in open fields but do crack a bit near buildings. the only problem, well not problem but they take some getting used to as they pattern low due to aiming with the top of the moderator. this is no problem after a few shots at tin cans to establish the point of aim. I found the quietist carts where express 18g loads, i never tried the 3 inch subs so cant comment on them. up to 25 yards for clean kills a great too
  20. Last year I was quoted £ for deactivation of a damascus s/s hammergun from kranks in leeds
