Air Arms Diabolo or JSB Exact Jumbo Diabolo (.22 5.52)
Gaoler replied to Gaoler's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Hi Mark, My HW100 is set at 11.75, with 15.89 grain JSB, never been one for figures, how will the lighter grain effect the ft/lbs and performance. -

Probably will open a can of worms, is it worth washing & lubing the pellets before testing? -
I think there is some truth in your last statement, Michael Gove wants to be PM, and a leadership battle is upon us! And sadly Mr Packham has a large voting following...
-
People posting pictures of massive bags of pigeons on stubble, excuse the pun, but we have shot ourselves in more than the foot! The big game shoots are next, we are doing the exact same thing!, after that, rabbits, fox’s and even rats... The Internet is good for us to communicate, but is also a good tool for the anti’s to use against us. We need to act and behave responsibly to maintain our way of life.

I would say in the bigger scheme of things not many people....and that’s quite sad...

#listen to our voice.

From the Government website, we could advertise on other forums, contact our local gun shops, speak to friends and spread the word, this is a countryside wide issue??? Create or sign a petition that asks for a change to the law or to government policy. After 10,000 signatures, petitions get a response from the government. After 100,000 signatures, petitions are considered for debate in Parliament.

Cheers Jimmy (I hope that’s right!) I am out this afternoon on a permission, taking my FN19 Lighthunter .22 out, once in her sweet spot the old girl is still a good hunting tool... John...

We could consider setting up a petition ourselves, it’s free to do on the .gov.org website, it’s a way of sounding our voice, if enough sign up they do listen, as we are voters, because round the corner is a general election. People thoughts?, even if we lose, we didn’t go down without a fight....

Hi Si, I agree, he will have elaborated some of his remarks to make his point, and play the victim! I don’t no the answer, we maybe should look to the continent and look at how the shooting world have negotiated far better shooting rights, land access, and gun ownership/laws. I have written to BACs, Game Keepers Org, both have not responded, nor explained what they are doing to fight our corner! will let you know how it goes Monday with the Crown ?
-
On YouTube nearly all the reviews are from Australia & the USA, all in FAC... It seems .177 is the way forward in sub 12ft lb, more so if I choose the Crown. I have emptied the piggy bank ready for Monday!!

It is sad to say but there is a leadership battle about to happen in the Conservative party, and Mr Gove wants to be PM, so he will not want to make any waves especially with Mr Packham who could sway potential voters. There are many like Mr Packham who do not like our sport, but forget the service we deliver for the countryside, food industry, help stop the spread of diseases, and maintain a balance of species. The world needs people like Mr Packham, whether we agree or not, and be under no illusion the attack on our way of life is not over, game shooting, rabbits, fox’s, even rats

That’s my local Gun shop!! ?

I am going Monday to my local gun shop, they have both, Royale & Crown, there is an offer on the Royale with the laminate stock at the moment, so will shoot both in .177, see how they feel and shoot. will keep you posted... John.

Just posted this in General Discussion: Hi all, It’s been a while since I last posted, I shoot a HW100 & an FN19 Lighthunter, both have been tuned and are .22 they are cracking rifles. The HW100 is super efficient & accurate, the FN19 when in it’s sweet post is still a very efficient hunting tool and accurate. I have been working flat out recently and want to get a third air rifle, self treat! I was thinking of the FX Royale 400 in .177 (as always have shot .22 for hunting). 2 questions: Does anyone shoot FX, are they as accurate & good as the reviews say in a

New Pro Sport takes the Shit Shot Challenge.

Hi all, It' been a while since I have posted. Last year my season was somewhat scuppered with work and family issues. Anyway I am thinking of treating myself to a new rifle, and was thinking of the Pro Sport for rabbit & squizzers! I have an Falcon FN19 & Weirhauch HW100 both in .22 calibre, I want to get a .177, would the Pro Sport be suitable? Cheers... -
Hello All, What is the general consenses on the best range to zero my .22 air rifle at? Also I have always zeroed by making the crosshair go to the centre of the target, but I have been told shoot a pellet and if it is off zero I should take the crosshair to the pellet hole, then re-aim. Which way do you zero? Thanks John...
-
Hello all, I normally shoot at magnification number 5, when zeroing my rifle can I wind the magnification up then when zeroed knock it back to 5 without affecting the zero point? Thanks John...
-
Hello All, I am looking for a decent hard gun case to transfer both my rifles (FN19 & HW100), weather proof would be good too. My landrover does bounce them about a bit and want something very sturdy and that will protect them from knocks & jolting. I have been looking at the Plano Cases! Thanks John...

I know, WTF...lol

Went out again today... Both rifles were spot on their zero, 43 rabbits for 46 shots, I am thinking it was me!!!
