Hi all, On the HW97K underlever catch, do you use oil or a spot of grease to lubricate it, mine gets quite gnarly after a bit of use, have used oil but it doesn’t seem to last that long! I presume your glove wipes it all off as it gets used, the rubber o-ring is in place. Cheers...

£340 at Optics Warehouse (on offer), that's with a Duplex reticle, £35 more for the MOA 2 reticle, interestingly some reviews say choose the Duplex over the MOA 2 reticle, as the later can disappear into the background at low light times! It will be for my HW95K for hunting.

My HW97K .22 likes the Weirhauch pellets, H&N on the tin, not sure if they are different to standard H&N? HW95K .177 likes AA Field Diablo in 4.52, groups superb, I have some Weirhauch in .177 4.50 but haven’t tried them yet! Both rifles are Vortek tuned by agrtuning...

Eyup all, I want to treat myself to a quality new scope for the HW95K .177 (just returned from AGRTuning), never had MTC optics, will the Mamba Pro2, 3-18X50 IR-SCB2 Reticle be suitable for hunting, and in low light? Cheers...

On a side note, Tony at AGRTuning is thinking about retiring, that will be a loss as a top bloke, knowledgable and cracking tuner! Those PG3 kits and tuned by him have transformed my 95 & 97...

So my question is (this is my ignorance showing now!): Not just the Vortek PG3 kit I have had installed along with a tune, if springers can be so much better, why don’t the manufactures spend a bit more time and effort making them better!? What makes the tune & various tune kits better than the original HW springers internals?

The Vortek kit & tune are so good! The rifle cocks so easy compared to the Weihrauch spring, so smooth, and hardly any recoil...groupings are on par with my PCPs. Zero had hardly bugded! That Vortek PG3 kit, well suits the HW95 in .177, well chuffed.

I have the HW97K in .22 and the HW95K in .177 both fully tuned with Vortek PG3 kits in. 97 is deadly accurate, and has good stopping power, 95 yet to shoot it after the tune, but prior it was accurate, great on squizzers!

Hi all, I have just got my HW95K .177 back from AGRTuning, Tony has given it a full strip down & tune, and fitted a Vortek PG3 kit in it. If it is as good as my HW97K he tuned, it should shoot smooth & accurate! Job for the weekend put it back in its stock, and put a tin of pellets through it to settle it down, then re-zero it. Tony is a top bloke, and so helpful...

Nice rifle, I have an FN19 (my oldest rifle), when in it's sweet spot it is still deadly accurate. Enjoy your new rifle.

Good morning, Having been out yesterday with the HW95K in .177, I just love it more and more, why I have never really entertained .177 in the past, it kills so cleanly. I then used the HW97K, Vortek tuned in .22, loved that too, but left both PCPs at home! Anyway, I want to put a decent fixed mag scope on the 95, I have narrowed it down to SWFA 6x42 or Schmidt & Bender 6x42 (S&B as a fixed parallax of 100m, but they can adjust this to either 50m or 30m), what are your thoughts, and does anyone shoot fixed mag? Cheers...
