  1. I’m out today with it….squizzers & rabbits…
  2. Phew...zero hasn't shifted, and it shot accurate, pellet after pellet. I don't know who was pleased the most, me or my son! Cheers.
  3. I’ll check the zero and accuracy/consistency over the weekend….fingers crossed.
  4. I presume that means it will be fine then!
  5. Hi all, My son managed to dry fire my 97K by accident tonight! It has a PG3 Vortek Tune kit in, will it have done any harm? It seems to shoot okay afterwards. Cheers...
  6. I’ve cleaned my barrel on my HW100, Im going to shoot pellets straight from the tin, AA Field .22 5.52 How many pellets on average do I need to shoot through the barrel to get it accurate again after cleaning? Cheers….
  7. Is it worth washing and lubricating your pellets, or shoot them straight from the tin? Cheers…
  8. I shoot JSB Exact Diablo .22 5.52 head size in my HW100, yet the Weihrauch F&T pellets in .22 made by H&N have a 5.50 head size (my HW97K loves these). Does anyone shoot a 5.50 head size pellet in their HW100, and are they accurate? Cheers…
  9. I tried it today, doing the windage at 8 yards, then went out to 28 yards for the elevation with my .22, it was miles out! Went back to doing zeroing both at 28 yards, bang on again! Yet my mate never dropped a shot doing it that way, strange…
  10. What are your thoughts about zeroing windage at 8 yards?
  11. So, I went out yesterday with a mate to his permission. We had no wind, and it was a gorgeous day, he said he needed to zero his rifle first, no probs. HW95 .177, he set his target at 8 yards for windage, and 35 yards for elevation, saying at 8 yards it's less likely the wind (if there was any) to have an affect on such a light pellet, and he zeros all his rifles this way...He never dropped a shot all evening! I've always zeroed at 35 yards both windage and elevation for my .177 HW95, and all my other rifles in .22 at 28 yards. Anyone else zero this way and is it more accurate?
  12. Nice looking rifles…. I’ve got the 95K in .177, and the 97K in .22, both Vortek tuned, cracking rifles to shoot.
  13. Well, I was bored yesterday so picked up my HW95 .177 a tin of pellets and went out to a permission near me. Didn’t see much at all, not one rabbit, but as I walked the permission thinking it’s time to go home I noticed a young oak tree which had 5 squizzers after the acorns on the upper most foliage. So I sat down against a fence post in the shade in a normal t-shirt, camo trousers, camo hat & gloves, set my shooting tripod up and loaded the 95, I was about 30+ yards away I’d say, never even had my rangefinder with me. Anyway shot the first squizzer, a youngster, stone dead head shot
  14. Hi all, I've finally bit the bullet and ordered the above scope for my HW95 from Optics Warehouse, should come Friday. Having looked through a mates the optics performed so well, and in low light excelled even though it only has a 42mm Objective Lens. It’s quite a compact scope so should sit nicely on the 95. I have ordered the Duplex reticle has have always liked the uncluttered look through my scopes, and find my shooting is fine with it. I’ll let you know how I get on with it. Cheers…
  15. Good evening all, My HW97K, Vortek agrtuned, has crept up quite a bit on power, is this normal? It's had about 2 tins of pellets through it now, it shoots so well now. Cheers...
  16. How do you find the scope? good glass?, I was thinking of buying one for my .177 HW95 for hunting? Are they heavy? Cheers…
  17. Cracking shooting mate! I know what you mean, I took my .22 97K out the other evening, only shot 4 rabbits, what I saw, but there is something very satisfying shooting a springer and all dropped straightaway. I haven’t used my PCPs yet this season for hunting, only just to zero them. Shooting the .22 97 & .177 95 is getting good results…
  18. Cheers everyone, I’ve ordered one today, pick it up Saturday and going to send it straight off for tuning, all my other springers have PG3 Vortek kits in and shoot so well…
  19. Hi All, I've definetly got the Springer bug, the 97 & 95 just seem to shoot better & better the more I use them, both Vortek tuned by agrtuning. What's the HW80 .177 like, thinking of getting one in sub 12, any good, will definetly get it Vortek tuned? Cheers...
  20. Hi all, Is it okay to store my rifles in their slips side by side on the floor upright prone position (not laid on their sides)? Or better to stand them upright on their butts? Cheers…
  21. Got a Falcon M18 on my Falcon Lighthunter PCP, definitely built to last and superb optics for the price...it gives some welcomed weight to the rifle...too heavy for my HW springers though.
  22. One of my favourite scopes on my springers is an original Whitetail Classic (I’ve got 2), the ones not made in China, I think they where made in the Philippines, cracking glass on them & clarity, mine must easily be 10 years plus and still going strong...
