  6. The only possible way of overturning the hunting ban is to vote Conservative. Even if they get in, a repeal of the hunting act is not certain. But if hunting is a massive part of your life, like it is in mine, is it not worth taking a punt and voting for the toffs? As for talking about a revolution?

  9. Hi i had the same problem with my cocker. Would find a bird and just look at it and sniff it! I tried a few things e.g pheasant scent on a dummy, tennis balls etc What i found to work for my dog was using a cold small bird, partridge or small hen pheasant wrapped in an old pair of tights so the feathers dont put the dog off. I opened his mouth and placed the bird in getting him to hold it, giving lots of reassurance and praise. After repeating this over a few days i left the dog holding the bird and even encouraged it to follow me round with it. I then moved on to retrieving wit
  10. Interesting opinion The BARF diet seems lacking in carbs, its mainly protein and fat. Does a dog need carbs in its diet? I cant think where wild dogs and wolves obtain carbohydrates?

  13. Ive recently changed to feeding my lurcher to the BARF diet. hes already looking more healthy, Trouble is im trying to talk my old man(who has gundogs) to change aswell, hes of the opinion that unless your a canine nutritionist you can not balance a dogs diet properly. If you have got a healthy dog/dogs (any breed) that are on BARF can you put some pics up? Many thanks, Jake

  20. Nail on the head If people invested the amount of time i (and a lot of people)have feeding, exercising and training my pup, they wouldnt part with dogs as easily, you cant keep a pup in a kennel for 10/11 months and expect it to be a world beater.
