those in the dales might have a bit of an advantage to those who run golf courses in the south, nice idea but far to many variables to be taken into account i know some people will have alot more of a rabbit population but you still have to get out and catch them , other than that do you think it would work or is it a waste of time paulas? seeing as the rabbit dog thread was so popular i taught this might take to the same path it could work and would be a bit of fun later in the year. all you would need is the next mornings newspaper showing the date for verification Yah go

*Lamping competition* I have an idea slate it if you want but its simple, i will use an example, anyone can enter (free of course) the date will be set and the quarry is rabbits(as this is legal in both U.K and Ireland) , so lets just say i want it to start to night and you have until tomorow at 1pm to upload your pictures of your dog and the number of rabbits, now you have said thats stupid because we all have pictures from last season that we could put up instead, but to avoid cheating you will be told that a certain item for example a football will need to be behind all your rabbits in the

Maybe its time to start penalising troll type posters instead of those starting the topics by locking their threads ? Have you not noticed these threads are always started by either one or other of the coursing clans, usually bulling up or running down some dog or other for whatever reason, As soon as action is taken the pm`s start blaming everybody else. Cut its grub down....and exercise it more...probably best not to have let it get 9lbs overweight in the first place... Takes time though...or you could try getting it a gym membership.... I once had a Border terrier bitch transported here from Ireland....it was the most grossly obese dog I have ever seen....transporter lad said he'd never seen anything like it and neither had I...weighed nearly 40 lbs and was like a fecking ball...seen feck all exercise for months and its nails were curled back towards the pads...total disgrace....it took 6 months to get it down to 18 lbs...slow build u

You should have let the patterdale go to ground and dig it , you"d know what she'd do then only joking! relax , she'll be fine get her rabbits then when the time is right let her play with him again and you should see a big change

id be happy if i got one fox in close enough better of practicing calling and waiting for the right conditions, fox's can also hear and smell extremely well. night vision is an expensive bit of kit for very little or no gain at all for a dog man. fair point , think the night vision cam is off the list

Thanks for that tip I would never of thought of that. f*****g hell, I missed that post, thanks for high lightening it. Gonna write it down...... So you work out where they are heading and stand between that and them......... f*****g ingenious baw he gave that tip to me sorry get your own tips;) i tried the varble bitlz lamp with a red filter but some quarry was still two used to being lamped and missed (not by me of course )

Just wondering last season alot of rabbits and foxes in my area were lamp shy , Turn on the lamp and they would be gone, so was thinkin if you used a night vision cam to to spit the game and then switch on the lamp when your close enough to the game , has it been tried? The results? I know some ppl won't lik the idea but it gets annoying being out and gettin no slips at the game and just to point out there is a lot of fellas lampin around were I hunt !

Happened with my old bitch I just say down for 5 mins no lamp on an she came back with our the rabbit , caught another did the same thing and after 4 nights of waitin for her she finally just brought em back when I called her :L
