  1. Cheers i'll pass it on to him tomorrow night !
  2. Hi a mate is looking for a vet within 20 miles J25 of the M1 to dock an expected litter of springers. Can anyone help ?
  3. Go to TESCO buy one cadbury easter egg £ 2.50 get to more Free !
  4. No but they would hightlight the fact fox was not on your ticket if they could prove you broke your ticket conditions. Its not worth the risk and they will easily alter your ticket.
  5. Send it back ! The wording means if you shoot a fox with your HMR you are in breach of your conditions and can be revoked.
  6. Simonrees your answer is incorrect. As the original question stated TODAY !
  7. Only works if you know what time they are going to be there . Have seen fallow on salt licks on one of my permisions , BUT as soon as its light enough to see they are gone.
  8. Brace your self ! Just had mail from US and apparently 2012 is going to be a year of high demand for Ammo. That means WE will be paying more cash for ours. Apparently .223 is already in short supply over the pond.
  9. If the land is that flat the HMR will NOT be safe either. It is total rubbish that the bullets break up ! Some do But would you be confident enough to place one of Your loved ones down range ? I have had ricocet's with a .17 CF with a bullet going 2000 fps faster than a hmr. If the land is not safe for a .22rf then a faster bullet don't make it any safer. The only thing that makes a diference is a safe shooter.
  10. Everyone with a particular caliber will say theirs is best . But lets look at it realisticly :- Night shooting 300m is a long shot and both calibers are easily up to the job. Ammo what can YOU buy locally and for how much ? Noise/Flash and recoil the .22-250 do's more than the .222 at all three ! Impact the .222 kills cleanly, the .22-250 makes big exits. Balistic tip IS a holow point with a plastic insert to prevent damage to the bullet in mag and improve aero. What would i recomend ? Well i have a .22-250 and a .17 fireball But
  11. Of course i've heard of those had a couple and still have one. But your statement was the .204 was the fastest comercial loaded round . But it's not as fast as the two i mentioned. Both non wildcats Neither is the .17 fireball if we are being pickky. ATB
  12. Don't forget the .220 swift and .223 WSSM
  13. Charlie caller ! Have you not heard of a certain .17 Rem in 20 Gr ? Or .223 WSSM
  14. The make of brass has no effect on the primer pockets working loose ! I have had lapua .223 that had lose pockets after the second reload . Yes they were HOT loads. Save your cash for stalking and use federal or remington brass it is more than up to what you need for stalking without paying through the nose for bench rest quality. I have Remington brass that has been reloaded over 10 times with a mild load .
  15. won't get deer or boar unless you have access to shoot both.
  16. Springer over cocker ! Cockers are wonderfull little dogs but a springer will struggle to retreve a goose and a cocker will not have a chance, Get yourself a well bred beaters dog without two many FTCH and you will get a bulldozer of a dog fearless of briar and thorn.
  17. Thinking of getting a Lipo battery for lamping ! Deben or Clulite Info and best prices needed ???
  18. Just spat my coffee over the screen ! Walkers for Gun repairs do me a favor id rather send a gun to Quick Fit !
  19. Decker is correct , All of my scope's apart from the one on my 22rf are 50mm and above . BUT my bino's are swarovski 7x42 and good for seeing at night with just a slither of moon, i can see rabits that are impossible to see with the naked eye. I have a chinese scope 8x56 S&B copy and is ok for the £100 it cost and i keep it as an emergancy scope. But compaired to a 6x42 S&B or Swarovski its dark and gives a yellow picture. If fact when compaired to them it's crap.
  20. Why if someone mentions .17 everyone go's on about HMR ? .17 hornet .17 fireball and .17 remington are more than capable of fox !! I've taken fox cleanly at 230m with my fireball and crows out to 600.
  21. It makes me laugh all the talk of toff's in tweed ! I bet there are 100 times more working men shooting than the imaginary toff's. Auto's have their place but not on a driven shoot. Same as we don't shoot birds on the ground in the UK.
  22. Do you need that mag for hmr range ? I would buy an older but better fixed mag 42 scope by any of the good Euro makers ! 6x42 is not as much in fashion But will out perform the scope you are interested in. ATB Coldweld
