My mate has two. But they only go beating, nice dogs one went ratting last year . Got bit to buggery though as due to its long legs it caught the rats that escaped the patts but then carried rats like it does game !! Had bites to its legs and face but still would not kill the rats .

Wow ! Have i upset you ? The post started off as someone who had a negligent Discharge ! What did you expect from Edgar bro's ? Help did you want ? The gun was replaced. Explanation ? They were not there and it passed proof so how can they offer an explanation ? Compensation ? How much were you looking for, no injuries of damage to property. They said if you don't like it have your money back !!! Looks from here that edgar bros have been fair. And not worthy of your wrath if you are so upset don't use them again.

....and you have not stood next to and Escort Magnum at the moment the barrel decided to let go!! ........And bad tools cause injury and/or screw up jobs!! Stop getting carried away ! In your first post about escort armageddon you were not to fazed just wanted compo ! Now all you do is go on about how Edgar bro's are useless the proof house let dangerous guns into the country and IF someone is hurt then you will be proved right . While there might have been a problem with your tool for the job , The odds are as other posters have pointed out are you did not have the choke

Don't think you will have much luck . You have to have a valid reason e.g. Failure of parts [then you will be given a replacement] Dangerous in its operation [you have to prove the fact] Not liking it will not get you any joy. If i were you i would either trade it in or sell it on, and accept you lost a bit of cash. Good luck !

a workman with crap tools. in any case unload before climbing over anything, could be your foot next time or worse Its not the tools that make a workman, good tools just make it easier to do the job. And bad tools cause injury and/or screw up jobs!! Cut a straight edge with a bent saw, build a level wall with a cheap spirit level, drill a hole with a chinese Bit, etc, etc!! Buy an Escort Shotgun and you will understand!!!! Bent saw is a damaged tool ! Most spirit level are cheaply made and in china ! Where do you think most drills are now made ??

What sort of workman blames the tools ?

It will be used to shoot foxes (night) at unfeasibly long ranges, What do you class as unfeasibly long ranges at night ? Be very very careful long shots at night 350 + is at the limit of identification fox/muntjac/ badger and dogs all look like one another at night. And all but one will take your ticket !!!!!!!!! Spend more effort on field craft rather than taking a long and risky shot. Scopes for night time shooting and scopes for range work are like chalk and cheese ! S&B have some nice working scopes Swarovski are very like S&B but with extra quality

I used to have a b/w cocker that had a fowl temper ! Too hard on her and she came out her corner fighting, Good as gold up to the tipping point then bang she flipped. Never bit me though as i always managed to get out of the way. Put all four fangs through my dads forearm once though. And i thought cockers were a bit soft until i had one.

Is he called Brian ? and likes talking ? -
No need to go mad ! Depends on what you are going to be trying to do. You will most likely will be shooting at about 20-60 m with the odd long shot. With hardly any recoil on rf rifles shock is not a big issue. keep it simple with reticules as if night shooting or in poor light tactical/mill dots are hard to see. Try to resist the temptation to have all the bells and whistles . You could have a variable although most people keep them on one mag and sometimes wind them up to check targets on the range as high mags need a firm rest. Provarmint is pointing you in the right direction

Best place to get gun cabinet from?

Take a look at decathlon -
Hi Jamie Why would you not have a CZ in HMR ? Just wondered why you only like Ani's and sako's on faster rounds.

The advantage of a short barrel IS the manouverability and when moderator is fitted ideal for shooting out a confined space [ landrover ] Cut/recrown and reproof should be about £ 160 max Look on guntrader there are anschutz and finfires on there ! What you will notice though lots CZ's are cheaper new than a second hand sako ! Need i say more ?
