    Book your place and Dave will send you a book ! read the book read it again and again untill you go on the course . Practice your shooting prone,kneeling and standing off sticks. Then attend the course and Dave Strettons team will guide you through your level 1, they are a great bunch. But unfortunately i could not spare the time to attend the full course and just did my assesment there, and had a great day in good company. I suppose good luck should come next BUT if you put the time and effort in you will pass.

    In that case:- Throw it away and buy a H.S.precision/MacMillan or other stiff stock ! The moulded stocks that come on remingtons are crap, as soon as you free float it and then put pressure or tension on the forend the grouping will suffer.

    First zero off the sandbag , then re-zero off you bipod IF that is what you are going shoot off.

    Plot 2 is very small and will be hard to take a safe shot ! Plot 1 is better size but how flat is the land as there are a lot of houses within 1000m and a .17 hmr will easily reach them ? Don't know if you know how loud even a moderated hmr is as other home owners might not like late night mulit shots ?

    Borders are very easy to train and very intelligent, a keeper i know uses his but she is now getting on abit so one of his labs now gets used more than the border, unless he is on his early round on the quad because the border rides shotgun. I have also used my border BUT have to use a long leash as if theres a fox about she will follow that instead.[ my fault as we also use her for wounded fox follow up when lamping]

    Don't waste your cash on proof. I bet if you look in local gunshops at threaded rifles for sale most will NOT have a proof stamp near the thread ! So the question is how do the unaware know if it was threaded before the barrel was proofed or after ? As far as i am aware no case has been brought to court regarding this silly law

    You will be lucky if they ship a stock ! American law forbids any export of gun parts although bits like screws/springs are ok. Due to the massive fines for the exporter and the costs plus agro for them to do apply for an export licence most will not even bother to reply to you email.

    3800 fps & 3900 fps, that's fast. What calibre are you using, .220 swift? John 20 cal (204)doing 3800 with 40gr vmax and the 6mm with the 55gr noss doing just under the 3900. I've not seen a Nosler 55 gr in .204 ? Their web site and load data only give a 50 gr showing 3400 fps max

    I've had three Muntjack in mine and it coped fine i also have had a 90lb fallow Doe in it ! Very well made and very strong.

    If you want the rifle and you are going stalking then go for it ! If you get the permission the police have no grounds for refusal. I would talk to your RFD and arrange him to store it, But you might have to pay for the rifle and your RFD will be it's keeper. Good Luck !

    Tried one last week. Seams expensive for the distance you can see with it . Also left me with no night vision in my right eye for 3-5 min. Must add it was a mates so might not have been adjusted properly, but i still would NOT spend £999 on one.

    Swarovski the only bino's you will ever need ! Don't go small for low light in any binos [ don't belive the BULL ]i have some 10x30 slc's and they are brilliant in the day but compaired to my 8x42 swaro's they are poor at low light or in the dark . I aways smile when i hear that someone has a pair of 9 x 27 hockey cokey specials that are as good as or Better than swarovski, Zeiss or leica. Bite the bullet save your cash and buy one of those three you will even get your money back should you ever sell them ! Crap glass is next to useless and is why it is cheap to buy and worthless sec

    You can NOT borrow a rifle for anyamount of time ! You can have your own FAC with your mates rifles listed and use them on your own according to FAC conditions applied.
