  2. so the rifle shot did'nt kill the rabbit outright, was that down to the rifle, or poor aiming Ive only been shooting for 2 months Your posts lead me to conclude that you've a lot to learn about air rifles. Safety first, then some target practice. Drill it in to yourself to think about the safety catch. You were lucky really, it could have been a lot worse...... Read the post carefully, it wasnt me with the non-safety brains. I did read it. You stated above (in red) that it was you who'd just shot the rabbit, therefore what happened to the gun after was your responsibi

At the lighter time of year it has to be Evening sun just starts to go down and all is quiet and relaxed. If you ask me the best way to chill out is going out shooting either of those times.

  14. My fist accident happened yesterday when i was out shooting on permission with a friend of mine clearing a field of rabbits, just after the farmer cut his crops. I was about 30 yards away and my friend phil picked his Boeger air rifle up and because he had such a light trigger it went off, the pellet lodged itself in the calf section of my boots (standard army issue) Thank god i wearing boots and not trainers eh? Please post any tales you have, be great to hear them

  22. My grandad is fed up with his winchester subsonic's jamming in his .22 brno. Ive been looking for other alternative .22 ammunition, and i see Eley's are regarded as very good and accurate but are these just for target shooting or can they give rabbits and foxes a good smack? Any help shall be greatly appreciated. (he cant get to grips with the whole modern technology with computers etc. hence getting the grandson to do the research )
