whats the best silencer for the 17 hmr ?

Don't no if it's the best but I use a SAK on mine and its very good. FC -
Ok, GSG 5 will fire subs, I only fire sub's in mine. York Guns now do a mod for them which makes them as quiet as any other .22lr. On the range at 25m they are very good, great fun, pull the trigger as fast as you like, and on mine no jams. There is no reason why you could not use one for rabbit at normal .22lr ranges, ie out to 80m. I would think before taking the gun out if the public could see it, you could end up with the police on the land, it does look a bit mean. I have my own land, so for me it's not an issue. PS I'm not an SAS wannabe, but I was in the Cubs.

You see a lot of dead foxes at the side of the road FC

Your alternator has burnt out the regulator pack which is now shorting the wire which lights up your ignition lamp. The vehicle will need a new alternator, and most likley a new battery. If you take a start battery below 10volts it will not fully recharge. Regards, FC.

This will open the age old argument. .17hmr I use mine for fox, yes it's on my ticket for fox. I have no problem at 100m, all my shots are taken resting on a fence post. I have shot plenty of foxes at this range and never had a crawler all clean kill one shot. For rabbit it's perfect at 100m. I think the issue is can you place the shot. If you can't don't shoot, but thats the same for any gun. FC.

why do most topics end up in a argument
Fatcontroller replied to billy the kid 1984's topic in Airgun Hunting
I think it's because they are sitting behind a computer and have no chance of being challenged. For example, I can soot this at xxx yards, if they were in the field you would ask them to show you !. But they know there is no chance of that. And of course some folk will start an argument just for the sake if it. FC. -
Don't think thats a Pelham. I think its a Curb reversable bit. The bit is for 2 sets of reins, one top one bottom, or one set joined by roundings. The bit is used for horses that are hard to stop. If the horse is very hard to stop you change the bit around so the rough side is at the back of the mouth, bit like a liverpool bit. FC.

Politicaly incorect guns (M16 lookalikes ect)
Fatcontroller replied to AzMaN's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I own a GSG5. Holographic sight twin 20 round mag’s, tactical fore end etc. It looks and shoots brilliant. Why did I bye it, coz it looks good and shoots good. Would I ever shoot live quarry with it…….NO. I use it for target shooting. I don’t agree that if Joe public see this type of gun they automatically think military type gun. If that is the case then surely the all black tactical type guns with a big scope on top would provoke the same response?. FC -
Never had a Theoben but have got BSA super 10. BSA Ultra multi. S16 and HW100. HW100 is the best out of these guns by far.

I think some type of air gun licence would be a good idea. It would stop all the knuckle heads, yes it would take time to remove the unlicensed guns. But I don’t think it would affect any of us. I say us as the sensible users of air guns. I have been shooting over 30 years with an air rifle and I have never been stopped by the police or had anyone complain about me using an air rifle.

The gun shoots good at 80yds. Balance is ok. No sound moderator on the front it's a dummy, just to make it look good, so it's real loud epically with Stingers in it. I paid £420 for mine. I will try to post some pic's.

Got mine last month. Best .22lr semi I have ever used. Fast as you can pull the trigger with no jams. Fired about 500 rounds so far perfik.

I’ve had two visits from them. Found a card on my gate asking me to phone them. When I phoned the woman said she was concerned about my horses. I arranged to meet her and look at the horses. She said their coats were in poor condition. I asked her is she knew much about horses, no reply. I then told her it was early summer and a horse moults its winter coat at this time of year. Nice woman thick a S**t. Never seen her again. Had another inspector knock at the door saying my 2 dogs were never let out of their cages, 15ft x 15ft dog pens at the bottom of the garden. I showed him the dogs

Hello to all. Joined the forum yesterday. Been shooting for about 30 years!!!!. Started off in the back garden, as most do I guess then progressed to the fields. Had a shot gun and firearms licence for about 20 years. I now shoot shot gun, .22 rifle and air rifle. Just got my new .22 GSG5 this week. Look forward to joining in. Fatcontroller.
