  1. Good to see you haven't written it off as a bad job and I can agree about some people not travelling but the way the last one was organised made it tricky.Yes there are people who aren't doing everything they can. Yes there are people who are out to try and make money but the majority of us, who are in this for life, need to focus on the task at hand. Splitting the ranks and dividing us further just takes attention from where we should be and until May 6th we should be all focused on getting rid of this c**t in power or at least cutting his majority enough for a free vote. We can all fall
  2. How many comps do you go in for usually Kiwi? The odd one or two or do you follow them round the country? Looks like a great way to get out and see a bit
  3. Just wanted to wish everyone on the forum a Happy St George's Day. I'll be partaking in the usual celebrations later on is anyone else out for a few?

    Vote!

Let's see how our forum members stand on this issue... if they do...
  6. So what the f**k do we do about it then? Do we sit here and shout the shit on a forum about the good old days or do we go with the best shot? Lib Dems: Supported a ban on hunting and want all 14's and under banned from participating in shoots. Labour: Accepted millions in donations from the antis in exchange for the Hunting With Hounds Act 2004. Have publically dropped their pledge to safeguard shooting and fishing. Conservatives: Have gone on record saying if elected they will reverse the ban. Now they're ALL a bunch of bent b*****ds. They will screw us over constantly and pro
  7. Howard has said that it will be overturned within a month of being elected. How much of that is true remains to be seen.
  8. Logun lamps are good kit but look at the Tracer Atom series too.

I like the drop down menus
  10. Use a good quality round head pellet. Accupells. Field and Target Trophies. Air Arms Fields... etc. If you're Bisley pellets are working okay through the R7 then stick with them.
  11. Charlie came again tonight. Looking for his quiet spot. The rains have eased but the cold wind was as harsh as ever. I glanced at the clock tonight. Several times I awoke from my sleep disturbed by strange dreams so eventually I rose from my bed, careful not to wake the wee ones as I crept down the stares. The noise of the kettle was soothing as the water boiled for my tea. The lights were off and I quickly settled. I glanced out of the window over to the oil drum just in time to see Charlie sniffing around, ratless, looking to hide from the elements. I've logged on here after
  12. Might be worth reading this bit then... http://www.hmso.gov.uk/acts/acts2004/40037--c.htm#8 (6) The court which makes a forfeiture order may order the return of the forfeited dog, vehicle or article on an application made- [a] by a person who claims to have an interest in the dog, vehicle or article (other than the person on whose conviction the order was made), and before the dog, vehicle or article has been destroyed or finally disposed of under subsection (5) Whether it's possible to have your kit returned is dependant on the circumstances but there are provisions if the
  13. Yeah but you're quoting a section about forfeiture orders. If you're convicted and the the judge thinks your kit needs to be confiscated he can base his ruling on the state of the dog (i.e whether he believes it's in the dogs interests to be removed form your care), articles (i.e locators, spades, slip leads, ANY hunting paraphenalia), and vehicles. If 35 driving disqualifations have been made since the ban came in the Hunting Act has no bearing on traffic offences although these may stem from evading the police and driving in a manner which could endanger the public (speeding, reckless dr
  14. Yeah. If you're evading the police they have right to charge you for traffic offences too. You're hardly going to stick to the speed limit if you're trying to get away... It would be like watch OJ on telly all over again.
  15. Awesome pics WAF. Hairs on me neck are standing up!
  16. Disqualifications are probably for driving offences trying to evade the police. Possibly existing convictions (driving without insurance, already banned etc etc) They have the power to seize the vehicles but the law doesn't stipulate anything about driving convictions. The story is scare mongering, IMO. http://www.hmso.gov.uk/acts/acts2004/40037--c.htm#8 Read the Search and Seizure section.
  17. I woke up in the night sound of the rain hammering the window. It was coming down really heavy and I could hear it bouncing off the roof and running down the drain. I left the lights off because everyone else was asleep, I went down stairs and flicked the kettle on. The heating was off and it was pretty cold so the warmth of my tea mug was most welcomed. I walked to the kitchen window and looked out onto the wasteground at the back of my house. I must've been there the best part of an hour and while I stared into the night, flitting between counting the beads of rain on the glass a
  18. The coursing season runs from September to March... and there is a drop in numbers in April... Another careful interpretation of the truth... Roll on September...
  19. Them Chinese rifles are shite. If you've got one that can do more than 7ft/lbs, after you've poured WD-40 down the barrel, you've got a rare one indeed. An ideal beginner's rifle is a Webley Xocet. Cheapest in at 12 ft/lbs... you should be using a full powered rifle for hunting if you want to be quick and humane. If not you better re-think why and stick to tin cans until you come to your senses. New they cost around the £130-£140 mark but you can pick up a 2nd hand one for a fraction of that price. If you're not bothered by the look then they're cheap indeed. Stick with a reputab
  20. I've added a warning to the original post. Grim viewing indeed. I hope the campaign group in question have as much luck persuading the Asian governments as they had convincing our government.
  21. Is that a stocking over your head Viz? I figured you more as a balaclava man
  22. It's a sad day. Poor kid never stood a chance. I hope that the culprit is subjected to as many forms of abuse, as possible, before his short life is terminated. :realmad:
  23. They're on a par but I'm biased towards the Air Arms S410. The E model has all the shootability of the standard 410 but with the extra wallop. Personally I'm not keen on Daystates but that's just my personal opinion.

    Fuck the ban

Don't be so f*****g modest Dill! There are walkers and talkers, on these forums, and you definitely fall into the former category. You walk far more regularly than most.
