  1. So what's in your CD/MP3 player at the moment then? What are you listening to? Hendrix here...
  2. I like the Carbine but it's no difference in quality. Usable shots isn't much difference either. I got 60 from the .22 but Millet is probably the best to speak to about the .177. Calibre has to be your choice. I'm sitting this one out!
  3. :11: I think we all know it isn't speed!
  4. Give Hydrographics a ring and see what they'd quote you to have them 'dipped'.
  5. f*****g Amen! Shooting groups need to start preparing for the screws being tightened.
  6. I've explained the policy as best I can and the administrator hasn't come in to add anything or pull me up for explaining something wrong, so I reckon it was pretty much on the money. There are alot more pressing issues in fieldsports than how moderating policy is enacted on The Hunting Life. If half the amount of time spent arguing, the toss on this thread, was spent lobbying the government instead the future of fieldsports might look at little different. The only conspiracy here is in your mind. If you don't like the rules, play at a different club or take up a different game. Don't f*****g
  7. Love the S200. With the S410 around the S200 quietly goes about it's business with little fuss. Recommended.
  8. My advice would be to nip into the local carpentry emporium and ask them to knock you up a three foot stilt. You could simply slip this over your stump and carry on as normal. If you fancied having a crack at making one yourself I might be able to scan the plans I have here. I also have the number for a firm that make special perfomance pants for people who're challenged such as yourself. I can highly recommend the paisley variety but I think you can get them in Real Tree now.
  9. He might have really short legs though.
  10. 30 of your paces should be sufficient.
  11. Where do you put your magazines?
  12. The gauges aren't the greatest on the S410 so always go off your bottle/pump gauge. Is it the gauge at fault or is the rifle leaking air? Replacement seals are easy to get hold of. Easy to fit and will be delivered to your door for around a tenner. They're perishable so budget for them as part of your gun maintenance.
  13. It's staff policy to PM the individual concerned when a thread is deleted. If you haven't been PM'd it's an error and it probably wasn't your post that was the cause for concern. Unfortunately I'm not aware of the thread in question which is probably why I haven't contacted you personally. If you're having a problem with the site in general PM any moderator and we'll do our best to help out. The problem is we've been really busy lately so forum etiquette has suffered over the need to deal with the journalists and the people that just have to talk about breaking the law! Please understand
  14. Even the vegan argument doesn't wash. All food producers and distributors in the UK have to have pest control in place, by law. She might not eat dead animals but animals will have been killed to protect the food she does eat and the cost of killing those animals will be passed on to the consumer. Like it or not unless you grow everything you eat, in the UK, you're paying blood money to a pest controller. I hope her tofu sticks in her f*****g throat.
  15. Any posts I've had to delete have had a PM to the person concerned. If I have to edit any posts I stick my initials in the offending post so that everyone knows who's done it. I try to be fair but I'm just as prone to mistakes as anyone else. I usually try and settle disputes via PM before any moderator action needs to be carried out but sometimes someone will post something completely moronic that warrants instant removal and this seems to be happening more and more recently. Some people are even joining up with stupid screenames that are just itching for deletion before they even get fam
  16. Not sure if their any adaptor kits for the IR monoculars. I know most have an infra red beam that illuminates the target but without actually having a night sight for the rifle I'm not sure how you'll get on moving from the monocular over to the standard scope. Sorry mate, can't help you there. Someone else might be able to though.
  17. The parallax adjuster is the ring on the front of your scope. The one you turn to get your range at a distance. You turn the ring until the image becomes clear. You look away to the ring to find out roughly what the range is and then you come back to it, usually to find that your target has moved and that your range is out again. You repeat the process until you either get the shot you're after or your target has moved on. Set a static target up at whatever range you're most comfortable shooting at and set your magnification and your parallax adjuster to get the clearest image. That way an
  18. I'm sure the 3 TAU porkers that beat the 17 y/o lad unconscious were acting in self defence too. Infact they were still acting in self defence when I dragged the BBC cameraman over to have a look... I see that never made the news. Many people will have their own slant on the events of September but one thing is for certain. These men will walk. They will never see a conviction because for once they were acting to protect the corruption that was being enacted by the scum we currently call a government. Answer me this. Why were the police in full riot gear at 10am and removing their insi
  19. Bit of overkill for shooting on the golf course though...
  20. Welcome to The Hunting Life, Sharp Shooter. Set your magnification and set your parallax so it's dialled into a fixed range and stop pissing about with it in the field. :11: I've been shooting with a fixed mag for a while. That way you spend more time shooting and less time messing with fancy toys!
  21. Call into your local police station. If they can't help you directly they'll know someone that can.
  22. That's shocking. I was about to get into a long rant about how the Chinese treat their animals but then I remembered Foot and Mouth...
