  1. It's easier for us to let you think that...
  2. Did these magazines stand up in support of hunting?
  3. Cometa's are average, entry level rifles. Whatever you buy make sure you get it chronographed to make sure it's either doing the power they claim or not classed as a firearm. A Cometa should be doing around 11ft/lbs. If it's doing less then it's a pile of scrap and you'd be better hanging on to your cash and looking for something else.
  4. Still laughing at that one. Pure Gold!
  5. I've dealt with one of the north's leading airgun dealers for a long time. I've never been pushed to buy anything. Yes they stock products from air gun manufacturers ( ). That's part of the job but you make it sound like everyone is a money grabbing arse which really isn't the case at all. I will stick my neck out and say that they are unbiased sportsmen. They stock reliable products that have been tested on the range, and in the field, and are a gold mine of advice for the new shooter. This isn't naivety this is genuine support directed to the enthusiasts in the industry. They sell products
  6. Contact BASC and ask them to put you in touch with your local gun club.
  7. How much are you prepared to spend? Upto a grand on the gun only or do you want some sort of kit?
  8. 's are good guns but there is better out there. They're an older rifle and technology has improved to refine the shooting experience. You can buy an HW77 or 97, if you like Weihrauch. Or you could even go for a Air Arms TX200. You can pick up these guns for similar prices, on the second hand market, and you'll get a much better rifle. 's are tuner's favourite and despite some putting out big power the above rifles will tune much better and shoot smoother. 's tend to be over priced on the second hand market so be wary of big fees. A new costs the same as a new, same spec, 97. With the gear
  9. Since John Darling died there hasn't been a decent airgun journalist. He was the exception that proved the rule. I've used airguns for over 20 years and tested products for 15 of them. I'm certainly not naive when it comes to the airgun industry, it's shooters and it's salesmen. The bloke behind the counter of your local gun shop is indeed a salesman. But he's independent. His business and his reputation are built on his quality of service. Most gun shops are started by enthusiasts. They're staffed by enthusiasts and attract enthusiasts. They stock products that they know about. They resea
  10. Don't forget to pick scope mounts large enough to clear your 10 shot mag.
  11. Why not fit the Logun silencer? Do you want it to work well or look good?
  12. I reckon property values in the Balkans will be dropping soon.
  13. Time to license air rifles.
  14. Good advice. Them or the Licensing Department. They're the ones that grant alcohol licenses.
  15. Tap water is diluted bleach and that's before you start on recycled piss and shit. Enjoy your piss, ladies and gentlemen. I hope your glass of council wee wee isn't contaminated with lead or fluoride.
  16. Absolutely f*****g not. If anyone here does like his music, steal it. Hit the whinging vegan f****r in the pocket... he'll feel it all the more when Stumpy takes him for half his fortune.
  17. Hit the report button and say why you think it should be removed. This PM's all mods.
  18. A closed forum is a victory for the antis. That's what they want. They want this place shut down. They can't get that so the next best thing is to fill us all with paranoia so we make ourselves private, and do their work for them. No site in the world is safe. None. The sooner people realise this and police themselves the better. No vote from me.
  19. I dispute that anyone other than the industry find these magazines helpful. They make bad products look great and with the same mild approach to everything, they cover, just wastes paper and generates income for them. They're out to make money by selling stuff. If anyone here needs advice then get to know your local gunshop staff. They answer questions everyday and most of them are shooters. They test the latest gear and aren't funded by any particular company so they'll tell it straight. Their advice is free and walking to the shop is no different than walking to the newsagents. I've
  20. People are here for all kinds of reasons. Best bet is not to bite. Some post purely to get your backs up. Others have hidden agendas. Some are better at it than others and are infiltrating our ranks to expose what the ban couldn't stop. Be careful what you post and be suspicious of everyone. Everything posted on this forum is cached by search engines. It could be used against you/us in the future, either as evidence in court or in a bid to ban what fieldsports are left. Suspicion may not be warranted in a lot of cases but it is healthy and will protect you. EDIT: If that's the orig
  21. Both airgun mags are poo. Ever notice how there are no bad reviews? Funded by the industry to sell products. If you want genuine airgun advice use this forum's airgun section.
  22. I've also used both extensively and the HW100 is the rifle for me. I'd have one over any other rifle currently on the market, except maybe the Ripley Predator.
  23. The Labour Party has been in power for 11 years. Their current figurehead wasn't even elected. They made shooting the privilege of the drug dealer. They banned hunting and that's before we start on crime, health care, education etc etc etc etc... The day the white British whinging b*****d goes out to vote is the day this country moves towards a brighter future. White Power is just as much bullshit as islamic fundamentalism. The W.A.S.Ps here should give the propaganda a rest as it's worse than the CA's attempt to reach out to the masses. If you want to change things, vote. THL polls do
  24. I agree. That's a piss take. Not mutual respect.
